Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2008
This recipe was okay. Although, this recipe was quick and easy. I prefer the stuffed cabbage rolls that are cooked for a long time. They are more flavorful! I think I will stick to my old recipe!

Cauliflower and Broccoli Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2007
I really like this recipe...anything with a cheese sauce is right up my alley. I used whole milk, so the sauce was nice and thick. I am going to double the recipe and make this for Thanksgiving!!!

White Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2007
THIS CHILI IS DIVINE. Everyone who has made it has loved it!!!!! One recommendation is...if you are not a big bean lover....cut the beans down to one can. If you do use 2 cans...rinse and drain only one can of beans, cause the chili needs a little more liquid to it. Also, the picture that is shown...doesn't look too appetizing, but don't worry, its WONDERFUL!!! Enjoy!!!!

Onion Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2006
I thought this dish was very tasty. I did change a couple things. I used 2-1/2 sticks of butter, NOT all 4. I also just coated one side of the bread with butter, NOT both sides. The one side is touched by the cheese...and then the soup mixture. I do recommend either using 2% or whole milk when you add it to the soup. I used skim and it was a very thin sauce. Tasted great though...with all the other side dishes for Thanksgiving!!!!!! Definitely NOT a low fat dish....but delicious all the same!!! I might even add less milk to the soup mixture, maybe 3/4 of a cup. It was fairly liquidy!!! ENJOY. Hope this helps!

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2006
I thought this recipe was very good. Its not real appetizing when it comes out of the oven. I would definitely sprinkle it with breadcrumbs next time and some paprika....or maybe put it under the broiler for a couple minutes to brown it up a bit. My husband liked it alot. I did use lite mayo. I would definitely make it again. It was super easy!!! I made steamed asparagus with it and couscous.... YUM!

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2006
These scones were so delicious!!! Very tender...not dry, like some I have made in the past. I used blueberries, which were a bit messy, but were worth every bit of the mess!!! I also DID NOT HAVE SOUR CREAM...so I looked up what could be used in place of it...and the cookbook I had said.....plain yogurt. Well, I didn't have that either, so I used lite blueberry yogurt!!! It was great!! Gave the scones a pretty lilac color too!!! Will definitely make these again!!! They are addicting!

Beefy Manicotti

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2006
I did make a couple of changes.....I used jar tomatoe sauce (also added a a few tablespoons to the meat.) I didn't have manicotti shells, so I made my own crepes. Well, the crepes taste better with the cheese filling. THe meat filling needs a heartier shell. I meat mixture seemed kind of tasteless....I would add more salt and maybe add some ground sausage to extra kick!! I would make again, but using packaged shells and some sausage mixed into the mixture!

BLT Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2005
I used a jar of REAL BACON BITS, in place of the 1 lb bacon...and I used a well-drained can of diced tomatoes.... It was pretty good. I brought it to work for our Halloween Party and about 2/3 of it was gone.... So, I am guessing it wasn't a total hit!! I would make it again though.

Mexican Lasagna Chip Dip

I just wrote a recent review, but I had some left overs of this dip....so, I added some more cream cheese to it...and then microwaved it....and then stirred everything together.... It was Very GOOD!!! ALTHOUGH, IT DIDN'T LOOK TOO APPETIZING!!!

Cheese Dip II

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2005
This recipe was okay..... The dip definitely needs to be kept HOT...cause the processed cheese tends to get a film over it, when it cools.... I think adding sour cream also, might give the kick that it needs!!!

Blue Cheese Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2005
This is a divine tasting burger. I used lean beef (90/10)...and I like my burger really well done...so, it was a bit on a the dry side, but very tasty, nonetheless!! I added more blue cheese and hot sauce than called for after reading the other reviews. I also melted provolone and mushrooms over the top. I didn't use any extra condiments on top...it didn't need any!!! ENJOY!!

Warm Blue Cheese Dip with Garlic and Bacon

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2005
Well, I gave this recipe 4 stars. It was very good...but, I may change that to a 5 after making the higher fat recipe.....since I tried a lower fat recipe of it. I used turkey bacon, lower fat cream cheese, light cream, and blue cheese. You don't want to overcook the lower fat recipe...cause it will dry out quicker! I served it on baguette slices. I made some for work tomorrow. I hope everyone likes it... Oh yeah, I also put some slivered almonds on it too!!

This recipe is heavenly. I love rich desserts, this is definitely one of them. A big glass of milk is perfect with this one. Although, I get rave reviews with it, some people...have passed on this dessert...claiming it was WAY TOO RICH!! Their LOSS!!! haha! MORE FOR ME!!!!

Tantalizingly Tangy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2005
I really liked this meatloaf recipe. It was very easy to prepare. The topping is what does it...it gives it such a good flavor, that you don't need to add any extra condiments. My husband always added chili sauce or ketchup to my other meatloaf recipes!! Would definitely make it again!!!

Suki's Spinach and Feta Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2004
This meal was very good...... I did change it around to make it basically...FAT FREE!! So, I gave this recipe a 4 star with my changes to the recipe. I didn't use any olive oil...I used Olive Oil Spray (PAM)...and I also used fat free feta cheese. I took the advice of others...and added more spinach...(doubled it)..I may triple the spinach next time...cause it wilts to nothing... My husband loved it too...may add chicken next time. I made it again..a few days later...and just ate it plain without any pasta!!! Delicious!!
