These were pretty good! I followed the reciped almost exactly, except I used apple cider vinegar and added 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. It had a wonderful flavor and texture. However, I found that if the griddle is too hot, the center will not cook completely- as well as if the griddle is not hot enough the cakes will be almost sponge-like. And trust me, when you let the milk "sour" for the whole 5 minutes, you won't taste the vinegar.
