Valentine's Day Dessert

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2005
This isn't the best dessert I've ever had, but it is VERY good, and isn't hard to make at all! For the effort required, it is definitely 5 stars.

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2005
I followed other reviewers' advice and added more ham to this recipe. The ham I used was actually left-over from a spiral sliced ham I had cooked a few days earlier, I just chopped it up. My family agreed that dish was heavenly, and it made good use of left overs that otherwise may have gone to waste. Thanks for the recipe!

Awesome Broccoli-Cheese Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2005
I am always looking for different ways to prepare vegatables, so I was excited to make this recipe. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I thought it was much too greasy and wasn't that impressed with the flavor. Personally, I think regular broccoli and cheese is better and easier to prepare. But, my mother-in-law loved it and said it deserves it's 5 star rating, so I'll meet her halfway and give this a 3.

Kathy's Roast and Vegetables

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2005
This recipe makes great roast and gravy with very little effort! I am always looking for good slow cooker recipes for my family that I can start in the morning and let cook all day while we go out and do things on the weekends. This makes a great meal to come home to! I'm a mushroom lover, so I add some sliced, fresh mushrooms and some sliced onion to the pot when I add the carrots and potatoes. Then I put some rolls in the oven at the end, and it's an easy, delicious meal!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2005
I love this recipe because not only is it delicious, but its really easy to make. The biscuits always take longer to cook than the recipe says though. I'd put the biscuits in AT LEAST an hour before you want to eat it, and even then I sometimes need to cook it longer. I also add a bag of frozen veggies right before I add the biscuits. It kind of reminds me of a chicken pot pie. This is my brother-in-law's favorite thing I cook!

Although this isn't on my top ten recipes list, I give it five stars because it is a really family friendly meal that is simple to prepare (perfect for a busy mom like me).

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2008
I thought this soup was very good especially considering the minimal effort to prepare. I did add extra jalepenos and chicken bouillon for personal preference. Served with avocado it is delicious!

Taco Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2005
I have had this recipe in my recipe box for a long time, but hesitated to make it because I wasn't sure about it. When I finally cooked it, it was a success! There were no leftovers the next day, and I was disappointed about that because I still wanted more. I used half of the sour cream and mixed it with a can of refried beans before layering it. I also added lettuce and tomatoes to the top after cooking it. This was delicious! I will make this again soon. Thanks for a great recipe.

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2005
I didn't have any breadcrumbs, so I crushed some Italian flavored croutons and used that instead. The flavor was awesome! The only thing I would change is to pound the chicken thinner (to about 1/2 inch thickness) because I like my meat thin. Still, this recipe is great!

Better Than Best Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2004
This is a really great fried chicken recipe. The chicken always comes out moist and flavorful. I'm a cooking novice, but this is a recipe I can always count on to come out fantastic!
