Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2007
This was ok to good with a few alterations. To the meat I added one minced onion and a couple cloves of garlic. It brings a better flavor to this recipe. It's a bit heavy on the ketchup and next time I'll probably sub a little tomato sauce in it's place.

Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2007
This is one of my most favorite recipes ever from allrecipes. Instead of a head of lettuce I use 3 different kinds of bagged leaf lettuces. If the crowd isn't small I always double the recipe. The bowl is empty every time!

Texas Ranch Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2007
Simple to make and full of flavor! I've been looking for a potato salad that tasted more like a baked potato. Not your traditional mustard, mayo potato salad. This is it! The changes I made are 4 pounds of potatoes instead of 5 and for the mayo amount I used half sour cream. I'm making this again for the fourth and doubling it! Last time the bowl got licked clean and this time I'm going to be prepared. Thank you so much!!

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2007
This is a wonderful dish! I did marinate the chicken for a couple of hours in a Italian flavored marinade. The only things I'll change next time is make about 1/3 less of the bread crumb mix. I will also add about double the amount of the red sauce. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful recipe.

Baked Corn

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2007
To add the corn water or not to. That is the question. I have the answer to that question! I spent a lot of time searching the web and all data points to you ADD the water from the can of corn. ADD THE WATER! lol I have made this recipe numerous times and it is best as written WITH the corn water. If you don't want to add it I've done things like up the sour cream, add an extra egg, more corn bread mix. When you do that it turns out just like corn bread. The recipe as written I serve with a spoon. It's bread-like, but not like regular corn bread. Now for the taste. Phenomenal. Not one person in my family doesn't love this dish. It makes a lot, but no matter what it is all gone. This is great for any holiday meal or any general everyday of the week meal. My family is always thrilled when they see me making this dish. Thank you! Wish I could give it 10 stars!

Chow Mein Clusters

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2005
THIS IS IT! :) My Grandma made cookies that we all called Noodle Cookies. She is no longer with us and I've been searching for the exact recipe she used. This is it! The only butterscotch chips that work well are Nestles. If you use an off brand it doesn't melt well. Also I'd like to add that I put my chips in the micro to melt. Much easier then a double boiler.

Chicken Cashew Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2003
I made this for a summer BBQ and it was perfect. To add some color I used green onions instead of regular and red bell pepper instead of green. Not only was it delicious, but pretty. Next time I'm adding a little freshly cracked pepper.
