Whole Wheat Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2015
I use these as drop biscuits and also as dumplings in chicken and dumplings. They turn out great both ways. I use almond milk, though, because we don't care for soy.

Rustic Tuscan Soup with Kale

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2014
Incredibly good for so few ingredients. Of course, I tweaked it to suit ingredients I had on hand and our family's needs (dairy-free), but the recipe is forgiving and yummy nonetheless. The bread is very good sprinkled with Italian seasoning instead of cheese.

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2013
This is my first experience making bread from scratch, so I learned a few things, but all in all, this recipe turned out some tasty loaves! Mine are slightly chewy, and denser than I imagine they should be (probably because I added too much wheat flour and kneaded too much,) but they're worth another try! I figure 1,500 people can't be wrong...

October Oatmeal Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2013
These muffins are great! I tripled the recipe and added a bag of chocolate chips (because who doesn't like chocolate) and everyone who tried one really liked them. The first time I made them, I immediately wanted more, but I didn't have any more canned pumpkin, so I reviewed the ingredients and decided applesauce might make a good muffin, too! They turned out great, but could have used some chopped walnuts and maybe a some diced apples (or I could have used chunky homemade applesauce).
