I love to cook. I lived in Paris for a few years where FOOD is the main conversation. No breakfast to speak of, but lunch and dinner and wine, wine, wine. I learned a lot about food. It was the BEST. So that is the story. The reason I joined this site is-1. I thought the blogs were really funny, the people looked and sounded really nice. The things everyone were cooking sounded wonderful so here's to all of you.
My favorite things to cook
Almost anything new. I like recipes that do not require too many ingredients. I also like foreign recipes. I love Thai food. In fact almost anything Asian. I also love to read about cooking from different places.I like to do soups and fish and desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
No traditions. I grew up without any family cooking so I made the meals for most of the time. Very simple to start with. I observe the American traditions and often think about the many French traditions which change weekly- I like to cook recipes that have trimmings.
My cooking triumphs
Desserts, such as ice cream molds with various additions to the ice cream. Sometimes cake in between. Fish soup, and curries.
My cooking tragedies
Many, fallen cakes, undercooked meats. Pasta, undercooked. Recipes that do not have enough details for beginning cooks. Like lots of tips and hints.
