Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2006
This cake is easy to make and delicious. After reading other reviews, I decided to omit the milk and instead doubled the caramel sauce. I don't know that the caramel adds that much to the cake as far as flavor and I might use fudge sauce or some other kind of sauce next time I make it. I used a regular chocolate cake mix instead of angel food. Very moist and tasty.

Hamantashen II

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2005
I keep reading over this recipe to see if I did something wrong, but I can't find anything... I had to throw this dough away because it was so crumbly I couldn't do anything with it! I see others had luck with this recipe but I will definitely not be using it again.

Curry Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 26, 2003
This is a delicious pasta salad! Everyone loves it. The only thing I recommend to change is the amount of dressing you make - I double that part of the recipe (two tbs. of mayo, more lemon juice and increase curry or not to your liking). Otherwise, this is a great recipe that I highly recommend.

These are delicious and have become one of our favorite family recipes. It's so easy and very tasty. When it's too cold to grill I just put them in the oven and they are just as good!

Scrumptious Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2003
I have made many versions of sweet potato casserole, but this is my favorite! My husband loved it. I used a 29 oz. can of yams instead of fresh ones and it came out great. I just drained and mashed them. Great recipe, easy and delicious, especially the pecan topping!

Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2002
These muffins were delicious, and very quick and easy to make. I recommend watching them closely the first time you make them, because it didn't take as long as suggested to bake them. I added one tsp. of vanilla and some nutmeg to the batter and sprinkled walnut pieces on top before baking. I will definitly be making these again!

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2002
This pie was great and my family loved it - it was gone in 24 hours! Next time I might try using milk instead of water in the filling, plus a little extra lemon for a little tangier taste, although it was delicious the way it was.

Imitation Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2002
This was AWFUL - my husband and I have been married almost 5 years, and this is the first meal he has ever not liked. He is not a picky eater at all and likes all the new things I cook, but after my son and I tasted it, and after just looking at it, he didn't take one bite. It was horrible, plus it was a pain to make. Not worth the trouble, even if it wasn't any trouble. The worst meal I have ever tasted (except for my side dishes).

Passover Apple Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2002
I am not a fan of Passover desserts, but I have to say this cake changed my mind. It was delicious and tasted like apple pie or cobbler. I suggest serving it warm. My daughter loved the apple filling. Definitly beat any Passover dessert I have ever tasted, even my Grandma's! A big hit at sedar.

Mexican Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2002
This is a wonderful dish! At the last minute I realized I didn't have the tomato sauce, so I used a can of diced tomatoes instead, and it turned out delicious! I will probably make it that way again. Very flavorful and easy as well.

Spinach Veggie Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2002
This was a great vegetarian main dish. I substituted soy cheese and it came out just fine. I think next time I will prepare the sauteed veggies first, so that I can just concentrate on the flour and cheese mixture since you need to stir it constantly. Very tasty and filling.
