Cornbread Sausage Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2004
I've been making a similar recipe for years but didn't have 'measurements' so it turned out different each time. Thanks for helping end that! LOL I also use regular stovetop Turkey stuffing, but this was raved about! I also added mushrooms to mine. VERY GOOD! Thanks!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2003
Sooooo good! I made this for Easter and it was gone that day. Out of 6 adults and 4 kids, all loved it. It is moist and delicious. As far as the other reviews: yes it does need a day for the flavors to blend, I made it Saturday and it was pretty good, but by Sunday wow! I also took the other advice and used applesauce for half the oil, and used brown sugar for half of the white. For the frosting, I also only used half of the powdered sugar. It was perfect. The cake was very moist! Thank you so much for this recipe Tammy! I have tried to make carrot cake 3 times and it always turned out bad. No more! :)

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2003
With changes others suggested...more garlic (for those that like lots of garlic flavor these would be great with a whole roasted garlic HEAD) and more liquid (they were too dry without more liquid) these were 5 stars with the changes. Great base recipe, even as is still good, just made it for our taste preferences!!

Old Bay® Shrimp Fest

Reviewed: May 31, 2004
Yum! This was not only tasty but fun!! Though next time, because of our own flavor likes, I'd add only a little sausage for flavor, and add more seafood-like crab legs! MMMMM

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2004
Yum, yum, YUMMY!! And so tender and moist! My whole family liked this. As with many other reviewers, I cut this recipe in half to only cook one chicken. It only took 4 hours roasting time to cook thoroughly - 5 hours would have been too long for one chicken. (Cooking two would be nice for company or leftovers)

Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2004
Simple and delicious! I even liked them and I HATE porkchops! My husband who usually doesn't care for most pork chop recipes other than fried (lol) loved them too! Reminiscent of fried, but with more flavor, and the boullion keeps them moist. (Oh btw I halved the recipe) As far as the salt content, I thought it was borderline too salty, but dh thought it was perfect. For those that enjoy salt, you will like it as is; for those that like a lighter salting, opt to half the salt and add more after cooking to taste.

Chicken Parmigiana

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2004
I thought this was a good recipe. I folled recipe exactly with two exceptions. I pounded the breasts flatter first for even cooking and flavor and I used a little more cheese than called for bc of my family's preferences. Dh said it was 'ok' (but keep in mind he's a picky one lol). I did enjoy it and the kids ate it all up too!

Great tasting, and best of all--easy!! Next time I'll play around with peanut butter chips, mint chips, etc and make some flavored fudge. This is a great recipe and it got lots of compliments! Thanks!!

Screaming Potatoes

Great! I do recommend leaving the lid off and letting the water boil out and the potatoes get a little crusty. These were yummy and a big hit!

Chicken Biscuit Pie

Reviewed: May 3, 2005
This was delicious!!! I did make the following changes: I used bisquick to make the biscuits (same outcome and much easier!), and in addition to the salt and pepper I added plenty of poultry seasoning (mine has garlic, oregano, thyme, and other chicken spicing herbs). This was so good my whole family ate it right up!

Cheese and Broccoli Chicken Soup

Reviewed: May 12, 2005
DELICIOUS! We didn't care too much for the chicken chunks. I would make it exactly the same next time but without the chicken. We also added a little extra cheese (yum!). Very tasty, fairly easy to make. Long cooking time, but worth it!

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2006
At first I was unsure of this recipe just because tomato sauce and vinegar sounded odd to me, but I am glad I trusted the reviews and went ahead! This is GREAT! It was pouring down rain, so I didn't get to grill them, but just simmered them in the marinade in a hot pan, still delicious! I can only imagine how tasty they'd be on a grill! My family loved them too, including my picky 4 and 6 year old kids!!

Grilled Salmon II

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2006
Very good! We had to broil it in the oven but it would be even better on the grill as recipe calls for. Great tasting, and it's the kind of recipe you can play with if you're short on something and it will still be great!
