Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2012
Don't read all the reviews about how much they changed the original...too much work. I pretty much followed recipe but substituted red wine for the water and to thicken the gravy used a brown gravy packet bc it was too runny. I did add mushrooms, carrots, and celery the last hour. This is so yummy! And EASY!

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2012
I just made this and WOW!! The fiancé loved me tonight! Changes... Cooked in oven at 350 for an hour. Didn't have dry onion soup mix so used a "zesty herb" seasoning packet, red pepper powder, garlic, fresh pepper, soy sauce. Towards the end, I added mushrooms to simmer in the sauce then took the pork loin out to chop up, put the sauce remaining on the stove, added more mushrooms and a mushroom gravy packet and served over mashed potatoes! I will def make this for guests. Yum!

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
OMG! cut down on the japs and spices...And this is coming from a gal who loves japs, can eat them straight from the jar. I also consider this white bean soup not chili...So substitute one can of chicken broth for cream of chicken soup or mash up a can of beans. Otherwise the flavors are nice, just too much. It also did not look very appealing...too much green, I would cut down the japs and green chiles by half. I will make again, just with several modifications.

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies III

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
So yummy! I threw the dough in the freezer for 30 mins to make it easier to work with. I have also tried substituting the white choc chips with toffee and the macadamia nuts with walnuts...also very tasty! My family loved them.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
These enchiladas were ok...I prefer red sauce, so that's probably why I didn't enjoy them as much as everyone else. (too creamy for my taste) I didn't have the green chiles, so used diced japs instead, giving the perfect amount of heat. Would have been way too bland without them. I'm unsure if I liked the cream of mushroom soup or not. Will prob use all sour cream next time and add cilantro because they were missing a little "flavor." Perfect for people that like milder dishes.

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
I made this for my sick boyfriend and it was delicious and soothing! A few changes...I did not cook the veggies in butter to make it healthier, plus some people posted how mushy everything got. I just cooked some chicken tenders in 2 cans of the chicken broth, added the seasoning at this point...then cut the veggies up while it was cooking. Then I added the veggies and noodles and shredded the chicken (the chicken tasted great after cooking in the broth and seasonings). Cooked on medium for 20 mins and everything was perfect!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
Yummy chili with a kick! (Depending on what salsa you add; plus I did half HOT italian sausage and half ground turkey-spicy) I will probably just make it with ground turkey next time to cut down on calories bc it has great flavor, and I don't think turkey will cut down on taste. I would also add another can of beans next time because it is really meat-y.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
I have been looking for money saving recipes here lately since money is tight...This is how I changed up the recipe. I needed to cook something fast so instead of boiling chicken, I bought 2 cans of chicken and mixed everything in one pot and it still tasted great. I agree with the other users...I will add more chicken stock next time bc leftovers were a little dry, but freshly served it was fine and plenty moist. The canned chicken definitely cut down on cost and time and my boyfriend LOVED it- ate ALL the leftovers- and he is a picky eater. I scored big points- love this recipe!
