Favorite Corn Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2008
Used this recipe to make cornbread dressing. Because cornbread dressing should not contain a sweet cornbread, I omitted the sugar in this receipe and it was perfect!

Cajun Appetizer Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2007
I used apricot instead of peach preserves. Didnt find this at all too salty nor too spicy. Being from Louisiana, I used Tony Chachere's of course. This receipe is a keeper.

Festive Cheese Bites

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2007
These were Great! I baked a few to "test" them before the party and they tasted like it should be a sin to eat something so heavenly. I placed the others from the un-baked batch in the freezer and baked them 2 days later. the do require a longer time in the oven if taken right from the freezer. Needless to say, everyone loved them and asked for the recipe!

White Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2004
Pretty simple, but very time consuming! I also used light milk chocolate pretzels. I foudn though that the white chocolate melts and coats MUCH easier. After coating the pretzels in white chocolate,I then drizzeled with light milk chocolate (also did this on the light milk chocolate covered pretzels.) Everyone loved them!

Cornbread II

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2004
Pretty good recipe. I used 1 cup of cornflour instead of the 1/2 cup cornmeal, withheld the sugar and instant mashed potatoe flakes so I could make a cornbread dressing. Pretty good. I then wanted sweet cornbread so I added the sugar in the recipe. I have never made this recipe using the instant mashed potatoes. Maybe I'll try that one day.

Banana Nut Bread III

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2003
Simple and easy is what I say about this recipe. I baked it in one loaf pan, not two, and it came out perfectly. Will be using this recipe from now on, only might add some cinnamon next time.

Best No-Bake Cheesecake

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2003
Made this for my guy's birthday. He liked it. Only thing I changed a bit was just adding 2 crumbled Snickers bars over the top, then drizzeled chocolate sauce over the top. It set well after being in the fridge over night.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2003
Oh MY! This was one of the BEST recipes I have ever made! My Swedish fiance LOVED it!!!! He couldnt stop with the compliments! We didnt find this salty at all as others had. I used Louisiana Cajun seasoning because I was out of Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning. We forgot to add the cheese on the first serving. But he went back for seconds adding the chesse then. I tried it with the cheese and I will say it really doesnt need the cheese. This dish made a very nice presentation and we will be making this many more times! Thanks for a GREAT recipe!

Oh my GOODNESS this is the BEST chocolate cake I have ever had! I have never baked a cake from scratch and was worried. I was baking this for my birthday, people were coming for cake and coffee. I had nothing to worry about though. I followed the recipe and this cake was soooo GOOD! Will be baking this one for many years to come!
