Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese I

This was pretty good. I used only 1 egg and 3 cups of cheese (minus the cheese on top). I also added a touch of hot sauce (to taste). It was great leftover and reheated too. I also added a cup of ham chunks to make it a roundabout meal.

Ruby Drive Sloppy Joes

I have to give it 5 stars. My husband thought it was a bit too spicy - but - that's a personal preference. I will leave out the hot sauce the next time. I used a mild salsa. My suggestion would be that if you use hot salsa - leave out the hot sauce. He ate all of it in two sittings. I didn't get a chance to have any - frown. But - next time I will.

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

This is fabulous. The only reason I gave it four stars is becuase I didn't use bread stuffing mix (most people don't have this on hand). I used bread crumbs with all kinds of italian spices added to it. Yum

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

This was fabulous. I used, as others suggested, Cream of Mushroom soup in place of Chicken soup and a beef bouillion cub in place fo au jus mix. My hubby loved it and thought it was even better when he heated up leftovers.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Easy to do and tastes wonderful. I didn't have dry Italian dressing so I used Herbs de Provence (Italian seasonings) and garlic. It was perfect.

Slow Cooker Ham

I just did this for Christmas and it was fabulous. I had a 10 lb ham and it only took 6 hours - so be careful of timing so that it is not dried out. I only used 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar. Everyone ( a total of 11 people) loved the ham and there wasn't very much left at the end of the dinner. My mother-in-law said that she never had a piece of ham melt in her mouth like this did. How about that. I think that I will try a mustard combination next time - mustard, brown sugar and spices.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

This is a great recipe for leftover ham and doesn't necessarily have to be for breakfast. I used a 4 ounce can of green chilies and added a ton of taste to this dish. Great quick meal.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

I took k Praper's review and used her info. I also don't have a bread maker and used my KitchenAid. I also made them into balls rather than crescent. As a matter of fact, after making them into rolls I froze quite a few to take out for another day. Love these.

Zucchini Cake II

This was absolutely delicious. I had some golden zucchini and it worked beautifully with this recipe. I did halve the amount of cinnamon because my other half (notice I didn't say my better half - hehehe) doesn't particularly care of cinnamon. It must have been just right because he loved it. I made this yesterday and there is only half a cake left. My friends loved it too.

Simple Time Pork Chops

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

This was so delicious. I brought it to a barbecue for a nice refreshing salad. I just brought the salad dressing, strawberries and spinach in separate containers and put it all together just before eating. It was going in a New York second.

Manicotti Italian Casserole

This was fabulous. I added some Italian seasonings and wine to the sauce while it simmered. I only used ground italian sausage and cut down on the cheese a bit. This was so good that my other half kept saying " man - this is really good - don't lose this recipe".

Lima Beans and Ham

This is very quick to make. I didn't have any corn and I only had frozen lima beans - but it all worked. It's comfort food - tastes great. I cut the recipe in half and it was more than enough for the two of us with some leftovers for lunch.

Chicken Breasts with Herb Basting Sauce

This was fabulous. I had all the ingredients on hand, except fresh parsley. I prepared the basting sauce, covered the chicken breasts (front and back) with the sauce, covered them and put them in the frig for a few hours. This just added to the wonderful flavor. Love it.

Yellow Squash Casserole

Wow - this was fabulous. We have one squash plant and the thing is producing like crazy. I was looking for a baked squash recipe and I found this one. I really followed the recipe this time and we both loved it.

Cheesy Broccoli Pie

Wow - I made this dish this evening for supper. I had to cut the recipe in half because there are only two of us. The only other change was that I cute down on the cheese a bit. And it still was delicious. This one is a keeper.

This really has a wonderful taste. However, it makes too much food for us so I will cut the recipe down by half next time. I think you could use this with Italian sausage and it would be wonderful.

Sausage Potato Bake

This is a very cool recipe. Since I didn't have a can of vegetable beef soup I replaced it with a can of mixed vegetables. I also replaced the smoked sausage with bulk Italian sausage and I cooked it first. After mixing all the ingredients together I topped it with some grated sharp cheddar cheese, covered it and cooked in the oven. I will, the next time, try this in the crockpot. I think this is the perfect recipe for this. I almost forgot, I also added a few drops of habanero sauce when mixing this up. This gave it a bit of a zing. We loved it.
