Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese I

Reviewed: May 12, 2011
This was pretty good. I used only 1 egg and 3 cups of cheese (minus the cheese on top). I also added a touch of hot sauce (to taste). It was great leftover and reheated too. I also added a cup of ham chunks to make it a roundabout meal.

Ruby Drive Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
I have to give it 5 stars. My husband thought it was a bit too spicy - but - that's a personal preference. I will leave out the hot sauce the next time. I used a mild salsa. My suggestion would be that if you use hot salsa - leave out the hot sauce. He ate all of it in two sittings. I didn't get a chance to have any - frown. But - next time I will.

My husband loved this. He even took the leftovers for lunch the next day.

Oven-Fried Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2011
This is fabulous. The only reason I gave it four stars is becuase I didn't use bread stuffing mix (most people don't have this on hand). I used bread crumbs with all kinds of italian spices added to it. Yum

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2010
This was fabulous. I used, as others suggested, Cream of Mushroom soup in place of Chicken soup and a beef bouillion cub in place fo au jus mix. My hubby loved it and thought it was even better when he heated up leftovers.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2010
Easy to do and tastes wonderful. I didn't have dry Italian dressing so I used Herbs de Provence (Italian seasonings) and garlic. It was perfect.

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
I just did this for Christmas and it was fabulous. I had a 10 lb ham and it only took 6 hours - so be careful of timing so that it is not dried out. I only used 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar. Everyone ( a total of 11 people) loved the ham and there wasn't very much left at the end of the dinner. My mother-in-law said that she never had a piece of ham melt in her mouth like this did. How about that. I think that I will try a mustard combination next time - mustard, brown sugar and spices.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2009
This is a great recipe for leftover ham and doesn't necessarily have to be for breakfast. I used a 4 ounce can of green chilies and added a ton of taste to this dish. Great quick meal.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
I took k Praper's review and used her info. I also don't have a bread maker and used my KitchenAid. I also made them into balls rather than crescent. As a matter of fact, after making them into rolls I froze quite a few to take out for another day. Love these.

Zucchini Cake II

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2008
This was absolutely delicious. I had some golden zucchini and it worked beautifully with this recipe. I did halve the amount of cinnamon because my other half (notice I didn't say my better half - hehehe) doesn't particularly care of cinnamon. It must have been just right because he loved it. I made this yesterday and there is only half a cake left. My friends loved it too.

Simple Time Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
This is really simple (like the title) to put together and taste delicious. I cooked three for dinner and hubby went back for his second one. So, I know they taste good - because he is pretty darn picky.

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2008
This was so delicious. I brought it to a barbecue for a nice refreshing salad. I just brought the salad dressing, strawberries and spinach in separate containers and put it all together just before eating. It was going in a New York second.

Manicotti Italian Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
This was fabulous. I added some Italian seasonings and wine to the sauce while it simmered. I only used ground italian sausage and cut down on the cheese a bit. This was so good that my other half kept saying " man - this is really good - don't lose this recipe".

Lima Beans and Ham

Reviewed: May 10, 2008
This is very quick to make. I didn't have any corn and I only had frozen lima beans - but it all worked. It's comfort food - tastes great. I cut the recipe in half and it was more than enough for the two of us with some leftovers for lunch.

Chicken Breasts with Herb Basting Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2007
This was fabulous. I had all the ingredients on hand, except fresh parsley. I prepared the basting sauce, covered the chicken breasts (front and back) with the sauce, covered them and put them in the frig for a few hours. This just added to the wonderful flavor. Love it.

Cheesy Broccoli Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2007
Wow - I made this dish this evening for supper. I had to cut the recipe in half because there are only two of us. The only other change was that I cute down on the cheese a bit. And it still was delicious. This one is a keeper.

Turkey Tetrazzini II

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2006
This really has a wonderful taste. However, it makes too much food for us so I will cut the recipe down by half next time. I think you could use this with Italian sausage and it would be wonderful.

Sausage Potato Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2006
This is a very cool recipe. Since I didn't have a can of vegetable beef soup I replaced it with a can of mixed vegetables. I also replaced the smoked sausage with bulk Italian sausage and I cooked it first. After mixing all the ingredients together I topped it with some grated sharp cheddar cheese, covered it and cooked in the oven. I will, the next time, try this in the crockpot. I think this is the perfect recipe for this. I almost forgot, I also added a few drops of habanero sauce when mixing this up. This gave it a bit of a zing. We loved it.
