Simple and Delicious Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2012
I tried this recipe on a whim and I am very pleased with it. I made it exactly as written and it made enough to frost a 13x9 cake nicely.

Cake Mix Cookies VIII

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
I've made these cookies 3 times now (chocolate with vanilla frosting & sprinkles, chocolate with mini Reese's pieces and funfetti with matching frosting) and I've received RAVE reviews every time! The possibilities are endless with these cookies. Took 10 minutes to bake (the funfetti took a little longer) but seconds to disappear. This is my simple quick go to cookie recipe.

Cake Mix Cookies IV

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2012
I made these exactly as the recipe states, although I used a devil's food cake mix. I topped them with a little vanilla frosting and some heart shaped sprinkles. They were okay at best. If you use one stick of butter in place of the oil the results are MUCH better.

Movie Theater Floor

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2012
I made this tonight and it was super simple! I don't like candy corn so I added Reese's Pieces. I can't wait to try other types of candy (dots are next). Don't skimp on the white chocolate chips, it is the prefect amount.

Peanut Butter Cream Parfaits

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2011
I tried this recipe 2 weeks ago and was not thrilled with it. I really wanted to love it as I love Peanut Butter and Cool Whip. Maybe I'll try it again but as a filling for a cake.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
First let me say that I do not like chocolate cake. This recipe however changed that for me. I didn't change a thing and this was the most amazing recipe! I felt like it didn't need a frosting, glaze, etc. I'll be making this cake again (by request) for Easter. Yumm!!!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
I am only rating the brownie recipe, which is why I gave it 4 stars. This is the first time I've ever made scratch brownies and they were SO delicious! I won't use a box brownie ever again. To top the brownies I used another frosting recipe from this site. Can't wait to make these again.

Golden Brown Ravioli with Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
I made these on the fly 2 days ago. They turned out great and were very tasty. I used my deep fryer to fry them as I was short on time. I made 20, 10 as the recipe directed and 10 I floured then egged then put them in the bread crumbs. I couldn't tell a difference between the 2.

Old Fashioned Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2011
I made this recipe this evening and it was good at best but not great. I was looking for a recipe that was like the rice pudding my grandmother always made. This was close but not quiet there. I doubled the recipe and cooked all of the ingredients in a sauce pan before putting it into the oven. I cooked it for 50 minutes at 350 and stirred once after 20 minutes. The rice is still a tiny bit tender but it's edible. Hopefully it will taste better after it sits a little.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
I made these just before Christmas for my cookie tins. I didn't love them but that's because I prefer chewy cookies. Though the flavor was great! I took them to my roommate's parent's house and they were the first cookie gone. I'll keep the recipe on hand since it seemed to be a hit.

Cream Filled Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
I'm only rating the cream filling recipe as I used a boxed cake mix for the cupcakes. The filling was super easy to make and use. Alone it's quite sweet but once I filled the cupcakes and let them sit, it blended so nicely. For the chocolate topping I used the satiny chocolate glaze recipe from this site. What a great pairing! I've shared these cupcakes with 2 people already and both have said that these are far better than the original hostess chocolate cupcakes. Sounds like a keeper then!

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
Awesome recipe! I made this today to use on the Cream filled cupcakes from this site. I microwaved the ingredients and it was super easy. I also ran out of butter so I used crisco in its place. No one can tell the difference. Can't wait to use this again!

Cheese and Bacon Potato Rounds

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
This is a great recipe! I cut my rounds a little thinner than 1/2 inch and they cooked just right. My roommate can't decide whether we like this recipe of the potato skin one we tried last week. Very tasty! I can't wait to make them again.

Awesome! I made these tonight and they were delicious! I followed the recipe to a T with the exception of Olive Oil in place Veggie Oil. This recipe is a keeper and I look forward to making them again.

Sugar Cookie Cutouts

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
This is a GREAT recipe! I have never made sugar cookies until today. I made the dough 2 days ago but was unable to roll/bake the cookies until today. Once the dough warmed up it was super easy to roll out and cut. I tasted one from my first batch and it was delish! Not too sweet, had a little tiny bit of crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. I'll be using the sugar cookie recipe from now on. I actually can't wait to make cookies again!

Monster Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
I have my third pan of these in the oven as I write this review. I was happy to find this recipe as I needed one more cookie for my Christmas cookie tins. Especially because I had a lot of left over things that I wanted to use. The dough smelled (and tasted) great! The first batch of these spread a lot and were very thin. I was disappointed but expected it as others reported the same "issue." The second batch didn't spread nearly as much so we'll see how the rest turn out. OH....I halved the recipe and have already got 32 cookies out of the dough with more still to scoop. I used semi sweet chips and peanut butter chips, no nuts.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
I made these for the first time about a month ago and I wasn't impressed with them. Hence the reason for the 3 stars. I love peanut blossom cookies and peanut butter cups so I thought that I would love these. I hand rolled the balls then rolled them in sugar. I baked them as directed, when I took them out of the oven I let them sit for a little while then pushed the PB cups in. I had no problems with cracking. I may try them again in the future.

Coconut Macaroons II

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
I don't like coconut so I've never had a macaroon before....that is until now! I made these for the first time today (they are on the cooling rack as I type this). These are wonderful! Chewy and crunchy but they do stick to your teeth a little. I used a cookie ice cream scoop to "shape" these. I lined my baking sheets with parchment paper then sprayed the paper with Pillsbury flour (like cooking spray). I followed the recipe to the "T" except that I cooked them for about 15 minutes. I'd try this recipe again but I think I'll make them a little smaller.

Chocolate Pretzel Rings

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
I made these for the first time today and I have to say that they were very easy to do. I couldn't find ring pretzels so I used square ones. First I did them with one bag of milk chocolate Hershey kisses. They turned out so nice. I also had a couple of older kisses that I thought I'd use as well. BIG MISTAKE! They did not melt well and when I put the M&M on top it cracked. I guess they were too stale. Then I made some using rolos. With these I think I baked them a little too long. They are in the fridge now so I'm not 100% how they taste or what there final appearance will be. I'd make these again and would recommend them to everyone!
