Miso Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2011
Great dressing! I added about a tablespoon of ginger and it really gave it some kick, also I used half cup canola oil and half a cup great olive oil and doubled the honey. It tastes great without the ginger, but I am a huge ginger fan. For those that want a bit of a peanuty taste, you can use 1/3 cup peanut oil, 1/3 vegetable and 1/3 olive. I just added some chopped pistachios on top of my salad and I got a great crunch and taste from the nuts! Overall, great simple tasty salad dressing. Thanks

Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2011
Truly delicious! I used all fresh herbs from my garden, I whisked all the herbs together, including fresh garlic and some olive oil and used this mixture under the skin, I let the chicken sit on this for about one hour. I also followed previous reviews and put the potatoes first for 30 minutes (along with the herb mixture and some coarse salt). The result was awesome, the chicken skin was so CRISPY and tasty, the meat very juicy and the potatoes were perfect!! This is a GREAT recipe. I am not sure about the amount of herbs I used tough, probably a little more than the recipe... It turned out about a quarter size herb mixture per chicken piece.

BBQ Miso Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
Don't marinate the chicken longer than 4 or 5 hours!! Although the taste was great, I did over marinate, and it was WAY too salty. Follow the instructions.... It's a great dish.

How To Make Focaccia

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2014
Very nice and authentic tasting. Family loved it. All that olive oil made the difference, the focaccia tasted rich and delicious, I used sea salt in the recipe as well and thought it could have turned out just a tad more seasoned, but maybe if you use table salt you get the right amount.

Authentic Middle Eastern Hummus (Chummus)

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2014
It was a good recipe, I thought I could get away without skinning the chickpeas, as it is pretty tedious work, and I thought maybe the baking soda would help disintegrate the skin, as I've read, but really I just know the end taste of Hummus where the skins have been removed and where the skins haven't... This recipe would be even better if the skins were peeled, also, not sure what the cumin added, never used it before, and couldn't really pinpoint if it was actually needed at all..

Ragu Bolognese

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2012
I didn't exactly follow the recipe to a "T", but this recipe gave me the framework for a staple in my home. I don't use as much butter or oil, I use tomato paste instead of sauce, I use white wine and I added a pinch f nutmeg at the end.... It came out excellent, thanks entirely to this recipe.
