Daikon Radishes are LARGE. I wasn't sure what to do with my left overs so this recipe was GREAT! I will buy my next Daikon with this recipe in mind!

Raw Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2006
Delicious! I will make these again and again. Kinda felt like a hippie, but honestly the possibilities are quite endless. I used crushed Walnuts and toasted almonds (instead of sesame seeds and sunflower seeds) and then in the intrest of fibre, some All Bran (about a cup). At first i thought the 1/2 cup of honey wouldn't saturate the dry mixture but after stiring for a bit with a wooden spoon, the honey saturated the mix and once chilled made a crisp, totally yummy, easy to cut into bars, treat! Next time i will use WHO KNOWS! all sorts of stuff!

Fish Sinigang (Tilapia) - Filipino Sour Broth Dish

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2006
Delicious soup! definately comfort food, but light! I used 1/4 cup fresh lime juice instead of the Tamarind paste cause i just couldn't find any! I also disolved a teaspoon of thai green curry paste into the water for a bit of kick! Needed salt but that can always be added to taste after. Fast tastey dish!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Great cookie! a new favourite in our house! I added dried blueberries to make a cookie that would imitate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. They are in HIGH demand!

French Toast I

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
great basic recipe! I made this last weekend to get rid of some slices of bread and it was delicious. I had never made french toast before and prob. only ate it once before, myself, so I didn't know you only "dip" the bread and not "soak" the bread, so to avoid the "running out of mixture" prob. that other people had i put the bread in a pan and poured the mix overtop.... it sat for a while and I was told that "it will be no good!!" but it was awsome. I think i like my french toast crispy and warm with a soft centre. I was OK with that... and so was my critic! yummy!

Banana Frittata

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
I made this recipe over the holidays and it was soooo good! I made one large "Frittata" for my boyfriend and I - we spilt it and served it with warm maple surup! to be honest i over cooked one side but i've always been bad at the "first pancake" and this recipe is all ONE "first pancake" - next time i will stand over it. I will make this again for sure!

Blueberry Gingerbread

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
Yummy! This turned our very good! I used frozen blueberries, I used butter instead of Oil. I think it's best eaten within a couple of days. When stored it stays very moist but if you want the thing sugarry top to say dry and crispy the bread will dry out after a couple of days. but whatever, its still good with a moist top!

Empire Biscuits

Awsome recipe! exactly right! i advise you get a hand blender - the first time I tried it i used a spoon to mix and had the hardest time getting it to stick together - added water - bad idea, made the cookie a touch heavier than the light amaizing cookie i got with the use of a hand blender. I've used all kinds of filling, different jams, honey, nutella - thanks for this one!

Clover's Shrimp and Basil

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
This recipe is inspirational! I'm on a low fat/carb diet so I changed this one up a bit - i nixed the oil, used pam spray, made a fat free curry mustard mayo, spread it on a low carb tortilla, lined that with boston bib lettus and spooned some warm shrimp/pepper mixture and wrapped it up! a FREAKING awsome lunch! the flavours are out of this world! thanks for this one!

Blueberry Strata from Sara Lee

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
This was a great recipe! I made it for Christmas Day for the man and I. I didn't make the sauce, i just made my own sauce with frozen mixed berries on the stove with a teaspoon of maple surup (we're not sweet sauce type people) and it was AMAIZING! Only downfall was that my boyfriend said it didn't re-heat very well the next day - blueberries and cream cheese do not make friends the next day. Still, totally worth it - delicious!

I LOVE this recipe soooo much! I've added walnuts, sometimes chocolate chips, sometimes dried cranberries, sometimes dried blueberries, even piped melted white chocolate on top! I've always had success and it is moist and delicious! I've even baked it in muffin cups so people wont fight over the servings! Enjoy!!!!
