Spinach Tomato Tortellini

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2013
My husband loves this dish! It's a great base to build off of. When I first made it without any changes I thought it was a bit bland, however, after I added - fresh garlic, onion, italian sausage & more spinach - I thought it was great. I also got rid of the cream and just used FF milk with cornstarch. This recipe is so easy! Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner! Thanks!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2013
Pretty delish and got rave reviews from the hubby. I added carrots, celery, and potatoes to give it more of a pot pie feel. I only cooked it for 3 hours - the last 45 mins with one can of Grands. I also took the crock pot dish out and put it in the oven and broiled it for about 5 minutes to get the top nice and brown. This was super easy, next time I'm going to try prepping and freezing it beforehand!

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2013
I thought this recipe was great and SUPER quick and easy! What a perfect weekday dinner! I followed other reviewers suggestions and removed the chicken while cooking the sauce, doubled the sauce, and added a splash of whole milk. I served it over cavatappi noodles - it was perfect! The hubby liked it as well - and I know I've done an exceptionally good job when he doesn't need the Sriracha! Thanks for a keeper!

Best Cream Of Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2013
I thought this recipe was great! I tweaked it like others and added garlic and carrot while I sautéed the celery and onion. I just think that's always a great base. I also mashed with a potato masher as suggested since I do like some chunks in my soup. Tonight, I wanted something a little cheesy so I added about a cup of cheddar to the roux before adding that to the soup. It's great! I love the versatility of either going creamy or cheesy! I will definitely make this again and depending on my mood - might leave out the cheese. Thanks for the recipe :)

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2013
I've been making this for a few years now and it's always amazing!! The sauce is delicious and freezes really well too! I've followed others advice and added nutmeg to the ricotta mixture.. soak the noodles in hot water... and fresh herbs are vital! Thank you so much for this wonderful recipe!

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2012
I love this recipe! I had a 'pot roast' sitting in my freezer and this was an unexpected wonderful alternative. I didn't brown it, just threw it in the Crock pot with my favorite hot sauce, seasonings, onion, tomato sauce (didn't have diced tomatoes), some Adobe peppers - I shredded it after 4 hours and then cooked for about 2 hours. For me, it was a spicy Chipotle Barbacoa - I loved it! So happy for the Pot Roast alternative!
