White Chocolate and Raspberry Ice Cream

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2014
This is OUTSTANDING! If you love white chocolate as I do. My husband loved it and he's not a vanilla nor white chocolate lover. I have several recipes of my own for vanilla ice cream that do not require cooking. I've never 'cooked' an ice cream (too much trouble for me..:). Well, this one is worth it! Didn't have any whole milk on hand so I used Half & Half. My vanilla beans are small, couldn't get much out of 1, so I used 2. Other-wise made as directed. Yes, it was a bit of a hassle with the raspberries, but so worth it. I ended up adding the raspberries at the end (using a Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker, which I love BTW) and let it run for another 5-8 mins. or so, and it came out mixed into the ice cream, not swirled. Fantastic! I'll definitely be making again & again (as diet permits..:)

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2012
Made this the other night & it was delish. Even hubby loved it. Had enough left-over for 2 more meals for 3 people. As someone else mentioned, it was some-what difficult to spread the sour cream, so I let it sit for a while to get to room temperature. I also layered it a little differently - the provolone would seem to be a barrier keeping the meat mix from seeping through, so I layered the ziti then the meat mix. The only thing I would do different next time is use more than 1 lb of beef - probably close to 2 lbs.. Just my preference, I like my Ziti with lots of meat...:)

Mom's Best Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2012
These were very tasty! Made exactly like the recipe with one exception: I sprinkled the seasonings onto the chops, not in the eggs. I used Boneless Pork Loin thin cut chops. My hubby said they were 'fantastic'. They were crunchy and, for pork chops, tender. I will definitely make these again. Next time, I may try them with Panko.

Grilled Cheesy Corn-On-The-Cob

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2012
Made this exactly like the recipe, except I did not have any rosemary leaves. Very good! My problem is: Is it worth the trouble VS regular corn on the cob? Heating up the grill, etc. I had mine with pork chops that I cooked in the oven. The taste was very good. If I were to make it again, I would add more butter, parm cheese, salt & pepper. I was afraid I put too much of the seasonings on, but by the time they cook, the ice melts, the majority of the seasonings are gone.

Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork

Reviewed: May 8, 2012
Didn't have a pork shoulder roast in the store smaller than a 7 lb., so I adjusted the recipe accordingly. IMO, this just isn't worth the time and what little effort it requires. We found it rather bland tasting, even after adding a little more Bar-B-Q sauce and all seasoning after removing the roast from the liquid. Have already deleted from my recipe box.

White Almond Wedding Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2011
This is by far the best recipe I have found for a 'Special Occasion' cake! Or any cake. Perfect texture, taste. I cannot say enough good about this recipe. I do not change a thing - I make it exactly as written. I tried changing an item or two, and it was just not the same. In my opinion, the Almond extract is what gives it the awesome flavor. But I do like almond flavoring. I say again - the ABSOLUTE best I have ever tried! It gets a huge WOW from me & my family!
