Snickerdoodles I

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2012
great basic snickerdoodle recipe. I used butter instead of shortening and added abt a tsp vanilla. Nice and fluffy cookies just like I remember eating as a child.

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2012
I have made this recipe several times! Great basic Hot Cocoa recipe. I've made it using only whole milk and also using half heavy cream. Fun recipe to play with and it's delicious everytime! I agree with the other reviewers, I only use 1/2 c sugar... brown sugar is my preference :)

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2011
Excellent recipe! If you are looking for buttery cake like sugar cookies , this is your recipe! Made it exactly as written and chilled the dough for about 6 hours. Rolled out easily and made great christmas cookies! Keep an eye on them in the oven , they cook fast. (I did knock the oven temp down to 375 and only left them in for 8 mins) Thank you for this recipe, it is exactly what I was looking for.

Great Grandma's Nut Butter Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2011
Made this recipe, the only things I did differently were that I added 1 tsp of salt and used cashews instead of pecans (just personal taste preference). Recipe was easy and I did NOT chill my dough and they remained spherical. The only problem I ran into was that the dough was a little too dry so I added 1/4 cup milk to moisten it. Really happy with the results and my taste testers (hubby and son) both agree that they are delicious! Thank you for sharing Kit!

Great Base recipe!! I added Kale, Mushrooms, Cheddar Cheese and Garlic and simmered it in the crockpot all day until the potatoes were soft. Then I made the Roux and added it in. Turned out to be the best soup I've ever made, DELICIOUS!
