Easy Herb Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
This one is a keeper! It looked so professionally made! :D The only thing different I did was I put quite a bit of butter underneath the skin of the turkey. Then I put the herb mixture on over the turkey. I was a little bit worried about it coming out greasy but surprisingly it didn't at all. The turkey was nice and juicy and I didn't even use an oven bag, I normally have a problem with making the turkey too dry. Some reviewers mentioned that it wasn't flavorful enough but with the gravy I made from the turkey juices it came out great! Thank you so much Lisa for sharing this!

Steak Tip Marinade

Very good considering how easy it is. I make a little extra sauce and set it aside so I can baste the meat when it's on the grill.

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2005
I hate giving bad reviews but this was just awful. The meat fell apart and the gravy was just nasty. I can't think of anything I did wrong but I'm definately not trying this again.

Orange Smoothie

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2004
Delicious! I'm in my first trimester of my pregnancy and need orange juice but the acid in it makes me sick. So I tried this out and it goes down smoothly. I added vanilla ice cream but I forgot to put the sugar in and it came out great!

Yummy! This one surprisingly hit the spot! Can't think of any changes to make on this. Worth giving it a try.

Oven Barbecued Beef Brisket I

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2004
Husband loved it. It was ok for me. I guess I'm just used to my dad's brisket which has a thick marinade. I guess this one was watered down too much for me. But this isn't bad. In fact it was nice and tender. Goes great with mashed potatoes.

Army SOS Creamed Ground Beef

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2004
I've saved this recipe for a day when I'm lacking food in the fridge and pantry since I know I always have these ingredients. I took advice from other reviewers. Added chopped onion and substituted the salt for paprika, onion powder, garlic powder and parsley and instead of milk I used cream of Chicken with a little bit of milk. It wasn't too bad but it wasn't the greatest. Maybe needs some tinkering. Goes great with french bread though.

Chicken Soup Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2002
Just made it and it came out pretty good. I too cubed the chicken and browned it first. Because other reviewers said it came out too soupy I added some slightly cooked elbow macaroni since pasta tends to be absorbant. Threw in some frozen peas and carrots and a pinch of paprika. I didn't feel like chopping onion so I added a little bit of onion powder. Served with Minute rice and both my husband and I enjoyed it. It's a great warm, homey-type meal for a lazy or busy day.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2002
What I like about this recipe is that it's very quick and simple to make. And the beauty of it is that you're not limited to the vegetables listed in the ingredients. However I held back on the spices a little bit. A couple hours before it was finished I found it to be bland so I simply added a bit more spices. It was ok at first but was a perfect leftover. Goes well with white rice and bread can be used to "clean" your dish!

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2002
Considering the fact that I only eat my mom's mashed potatoes, I found this one to be very good! I found the chicken bouillon an interesting ingredient. I do need to double the recipe next time because my hubby kept "tasting" it.

Breaded Rib Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2002
This roast was great! My husband said I outdid myself! Like Tom Z, another reviewer, I did have to leave the roast in the oven a little bit longer. But it still came out tender and delicious!

Beef and Biscuit

This is a new family favorite meal! My hubby keeps bugging me to make some more. I might add some diced tomatoes next time just because I'm curious. But I highly recommend this one!
