World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2012
Tasty! I cooked the sauce for about 1/2 hr and the results were lovely still. What did I change? I put about 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg in the cheese mixture. I used 1 pound Beef (the pack was a pound) Doubled the amount of garlic. As others have suggested, you can use the no-cook pasta sheets with confidence. Over all I will use the recipe again. My husband and I are big eaters and we will get 6 serves out of this.

Cottage Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
This was really tasty and juicy. I used Steak sauce instead of ketchup. I doubled the amount of Red Pepper and added dried Mixed Italian Herbs and some Mrs Dash seasoning. I omitted the Tomato juice as it was true what another reviewer said about the meatloaf being to 'wet'. I used 1 pound of Beef and 1/2 pound of Pork as I always find it lends any beef dish a juicy and sweetness. Would make this again and again.

Mediterranean Fish Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2011
As most of us do I changed this recipe a little bit...Oh I know, daring! I used two packets of fresh 'seafood herbs' from Wholefoods instead of the Parsley and Cilantro. I used chicken stock instead of water and floured the diced fish. I really cooked the sauce down for about an 1hr or so. This made the flavour nice and rich. My husband was impressed and I was too! It really is a lovely winter warmer without using cream and heavy ingredients. A Snuggie for your belly.

Pork Chop Dinner for Two

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2010
My chops were like cardboard! Hello! mad husband...slightly jilted wife. He's getting too spoilt! I added the a French onion soup mix as suggested by another cook and maybe 1/2 cup extra of water. Went lower on the onion on account of the onion mix. Also added some dried rosemary. I served with green beans, you really can't do this without the french onion mix unless you find a way to cook the veg to tenderness and the meat. Maybe cook the chops for less time and add gravy? It really needs a sauce...esp. if your serving to the male audience.

Porcupines

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
My husband and I loved this dish. In the meatballs I used an egg then filled the rest of the 1/2 cup with water. I followed the suggestion from others and used boil in the bag rice. The remainder of the rice from the bag I put in the sauce, then I put in another entire boil in bag in the sauce. This makes it a one dish meal. I too used 2tsps of Worcestershire Sauce to the tomato sauce. Also one tbsp of sugar.
