About this Cook
I am a mid 20's food lover. I love eating, smelling and cooking food! I have been cooking for a family since I was 8-9 years old and I adore it. I am currently living with two men who love red meat, beer and ice cream but hate "fluffy food" aka chicken, anything green or remotely healthy.
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE baking. It is my emotional escape. Cookies, cakes and pies are my favorite but they are followed closely by biscuits and breads.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love cooking with my best friend / sister-in-law. I bake em and she makes them pretty! (I fail miserably at anything remotely nearing decorating)

Carol's Cinnamon Waffles
What an amazing recipe! My fiance made these for me as part of a surprise breakfast in bed and I was floored! It makes my waffles taste bland and boring. After the initial reactions of surprise, delight, incredulity and awe that he cooked something so delicious for me wore off I asked him how he made them. Thank you Carol! This is now part of our weekly menu. He added a little nutmeg to them to make them a little extra spicy, and whole eggs instead of just the whites because, and I quote here, " Why would anyone not use the best part of the egg?!?!" :) Thank you again!

White Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
I would love to give this recipe a 5 star rating, but the first batch I made was WAY too salty! Almost inedible salty. However, in an effort to save the rest of the dough I added 2TBS of ground Cinnamon, 1tsp of allspice, an extra 1/2 tsp of vanilla and a dash of nutmeg. After the additions they are my very favorite cookies ever and most of them are gone less than 24 hours after baking! Great recipe, just needs some tweeking. My oven is a piece so the baking time was a little off for me, I baked for 13-14 min, and the cookies are still soft and chewy the next day. YUM!

MMMMM... Brownies
Chewy, chocolate heaven. No changes needed. I am never looking for another brownies recipe again. Rave reviews from both my chocolate apathetic fiancee, and chocoholic roommate. I will probably put pecans or frosting on them next time just to experiment for fun, but these babies really need nothing to be superb.
