Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2011
This recipe was deeeelicious!! I made it exact then added chocolate shavings instead of the nuts as my choice...it is now my favorite go to for a banana bread recipe :) p.s. I baked it @ 325* because in past experience I found that a 350* temp has a tendency to make it turn out dry..the temp change didn't affect the cooking time and I have a much moister bread. :)

English Royalty Chocolate Chip Scones

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2011
Great recipe!! I didn't have the OJ on hand so I substituted with 3 tbsp vanilla flavoring along my regular coffee creamer to the mixture little by little (equaled about 1/4 cup) till the texture was right. My baking time was longer too..closer to 20+ mins. They came out yum yum delicious!!

Apple Crumb Pie

Reviewed: May 27, 2011
Very good Recipe...though I had to revise the Flour amount to the sugar mixture from 2 Tbls to my usual 4-5 Tbls that I do for any fruit pie I make. Otherwise you end up with a runny pie instead of achieving the correct glaze set consistency for the pie in the end. Mine came out just perfect as a result. I also think the 1/2 C of Brown sugar amount for the crumb topping makes it way too sweet and I would go with 1/3 C if made again. Happy Baking!

Belle and Chron's Spinach and Mushroom Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
Delicious Choice! I added this to my variety of other Quiche's served for my Easter Brunch with my family and it was a Big Hit! I altered some of the ingredients to my choices>(added 1 cup of pressed out "well drained" frozen spinach & 1 cup of the same done to canned Artichoke Hearts>cut up pieces)..what a awesome choice for flavor!! ~:)) I used baby Bella Mushrooms..yum..added fresh cheese purchased from our local market..the onions(I used green scallions because they are good, add color & are mild to the taste. You might want to have an extra pie crust on hand like I did as it worked out that I had more mixture left over to make a smaller 9" pie as well. I would make this pie again for future get together's & events! Happy Baking!

Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
Deliciousis Everyone!! ..and so so easy! I followed exact ingredients> just going light on sour cream. My alter exception was I made mine with a CHOCOLATE GRAHAM CRACKER CRUST..and oh my it was a wonderful choice of flavor ~:))..If you're a chocolate lover..try it..you'll love it~:) I also added more than suggested fresh grated lime rind as I like it real tart. I topped the pie off w/fresh whipped up heavy cream as my choice! I served it to my family for our Easter Brunch and it was such a Big Hit with them!!.. they couldn't say enough about it...said it was the absolute best - fresh and flavorful they ever tasted. They also requested that I make it again for again for Mother's Day :) *Note: for those of you who live upstate and have a Wegman's Food Store near you, you can purchase the Key Lime Juice placed in their mixers section & for a good price :). As you can see I will already be making this wonderful pie again soon as well for other events/occasions to come. This Key Lime Pie is your Best Choice..you won't be disappointed! When it's this easy to whip up and the results are awesome..I'm all for it! ~:)

Fresh Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2010
This was delicious!!...and so quick and easy to make!! The first one I did the fruit measure of 2/3 fresh plums and 1/3 fresh apples. The texture came out perfect and golden in color. This is now one of my favorites for quick-easy-and delicious. I will definitely be making this more and with some of my other favorite fruit combos! Try it...you'll love it!! :)>

Sophie's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
Yummy recipe :)> Great texture! I made one change in the sugar measure. I did 1 1/2 cups white sugar - 1/2 cup brown sugar..it added a different flavor to the bread and gave it a nice color. To keep the bread moist after cooling...I wrapped them in saran wrap twice over and it enhanced the flavor to the bread more and kept it nice and moist. My family raved over it..a favorite choice.
