Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
Being Mex Ive been trying 3 leches cake forever. Im giving the recipe 5 stars even though it didnt have the right fluffyness this cake should have, but be/c it had good flavor and held the liquid good. Subs: one of the milks with Baileys Irish Creme-Delish

Ive made it 4 times within the past week, taking it to a social gathering once. They wanted seconds! This bread without milk is amazing... so moist and holds up well after a day.

Tortillas I

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2010
Coming from a fam that makes tortillas for evey meal of the day. I noticed 2 things wrong, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and did the recipe. The tortillas tasted good and fluffed but, they became hard quickly not to mention texture was more like a pita bread then a tortilla. Suggest: La Pina brand flour not all purpose, only use lard or butter and warm water needs to be poured in a bit at a time, kneeding it first throughly before adding a bit more. After I followed the exact directions then they came out GREAT and lasted 4 days! with a quick reheat in the microwave

Applesauce Cake IV

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2010
Only 1 star be/c atleast it's edible, otherwise zero. I baked it twice thinking I did something wrong wondering why it didnt fluff up and cook through the center. After preparing it again and keeping a watchful eye, it came out the same...raw inside this is not moist by all means its RAWish dough... It tastes like it could be great, so I'll keep looking
