OMG, I have to comment on this! I made them yesterday for the Super bowl, a double batch, and they were gone within 10 minutes. They were amazing! After reading some other comments and changes, I made a few changes of my own. I rolled each smokie with bacon and put them in a sealed baggie with a couple cups of brown sugar. I let them sit for a few hours. I then put them in a baking pan on 350 for half an hour. I then drained the fat and sprinkled on another layer of brown sugar. I cooked for 15 min longer, then drained the fat again. Then I broiled them for about 7 minutes. Turned out perfect! Just about enough grease and sugar!
