Banana-Berry Brownie Pizza

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
Yum, haven't had this since I was twelve and it is once again my favorite dessert! I only baked it for 20 minutes pre-topping so the crust was a little more squishy... but in a good way!!!

Goat Cheese and Spinach Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
Ok, so, heres the story. I couldn't find goat cheese... anywhere. So I substituted blue cheese and it turned out delicious! I only made one patty so the measurements were probably a little off. I also made these changes: Like mentioned earlier, the blue cheese instead of goat cheese, a handful of fast cooking oats, and just a pinch of bread crumbs. Also, I cooked this on the stove with some olive oil on medium high heat. Served over nut bread toast with some ketchup, this recipe is definitely a keeper!!!

Black Bean, Corn and Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
This was very good, but with some improvements. Deciding to veto the salsa I added in half of a large onion, two cans of diced tomatoes (which didn't quite do it for me so I also included a couple of tablespoons of tomato paste), and added extra chili powder, about three tablespoons total. I also did not add any sugar and cooked it all together in a crock-pot. With the extra chili powder it was very spicy so salt was definitely necessary. A very tasty chili, great for cold nights! The corn and black beans added a great texture and lighter taste to balance the sharper spices in the chili. Would definitely recommend!!!

Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
Such an interesting texture. I've never tried a smoothie with oats in it before and I feel like I've missed out. I didn't use any vanilla or sugar and instead added some honey, which I prefer. Also, I used other user's suggestions and pre-blended the oats. Thanks!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2010
This was just too tasty. I didn't have any celery seed so I had to go without but I didn't miss it. I took other suggestions and used chicken broth to steam the vegetables. I also used rotisserie chicken, so easy. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2010
OMG THIS IS SO GOOD! Best hot chocolate I have ever made. I added 1/2 teas. cinnamon to spice it up a bit and it was fantastic. Also followed other reviewers suggestions and only added a little less than 1/2c. of sugar. Topped off with some whip cream and movie night got that much better. Thanks!

No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2010
Kudos on the super easy, super yummy recipe. I give it four stars as opposed to five because there is just too much butter in it, I am excited to try again with less. Also, add-ins are perfect for this one because it is so simple. The bottom came out a little weak with just the oats and more than half crumbled off. A more crumby bottom would be a great touch, perhaps graham cracker crumbs.

Chinese Chicken Fried Rice II

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2010
I've made fried rice before and failed miserably, fortunately this time it turned out great! Good, easy to follow directions which allow for some creativity. I added carrots and peas to mine which not only taste delicious but look great too! For the chicken I used scraps from a store-bought baked chicken (so easy, even if it's cheating). I don't care for onions in stir-fry so I kept them out and it was still very flavorful. Thanks for the great recipe!

Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2010
I made these cookies but added in chopped walnuts and followed TAMMYSHAEFFER's changes. They turned out delicious! Fresh out of the oven I was a little worried because they almost seemed tasteless but once they cooled off they were fantastic. The soft texture is a treat and the aftertaste made me want more and more and more! My friends were also very impressed!

Jean's Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
This was so easy to make! Very time/cost efficient. I made it sans ginger, oil, and celery so it was a little bland but still very delicious. Highly recommended for those who don't often make soup!
