Raspberry Salad Dressing II

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2011
I loved this! I changed it a bit, so I gave it 4 stars. I used a few more raspberries and added 1/2 tbsp on Balsamic and 1/2 tbsp red wine vinegar and used vanilla yogurt and omitted the sugar. I used it on a strawberry and goat cheese salad, this was perfect for the warmer weather!

I had no idea these were so easy and delicious! I got so many compliments... I added a cup of chocolate chips but only because I didn't have raisins. KEEPER!

Blue Cheese Crusted Filet Mignon with Port Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
Made this for Valentines Day and it was so easy and Delicious! Everyone loved it. The wine sauce was especially good, I ended up adding some gorgonzola to the sauce at the end- you have to try it! I layered the steaks with the port wine sauce and then added the cheese and breadcrumb mixture and broiled. So good!

Creamy Veggie Fondue

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
Made this for Valentines Day and everyone loved it. I didn't have any spinach on hand so I omitted that, also added the wine then cheese and milk last. Served with fresh french bread and veggies- I will definitely be making this again!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
I have been making a version of this dip for a few months now and it is always a popular request! You can substitute the cup of ranch for blue cheese or do half and half. Very good stuff!

Roasted Garlic Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
This was oh-so-good! I kept trying it as I was cooking and was not loving it, but after adding the cream and lemon it was FANTASTIC! Don't make this unless you love garlic! I used just 1 leek- very good the next day too. I ripped up pieces of bread and stuck them in my bowl, yummy. Next time I will put it in bread bowls and maybe add some grilled chicken.

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
This was absolutely delicious! Very flavorful. I sauteed the garlic in butter first then poured it over the filets in a glass baking dish, adding the lemon juice and parsley flakes, and baked at 375 for 12 minutes. I also added some grated parmesan and it turned out fantastic! Picky eaters liked it as well!

Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

This was delicious and filling- I used frozen strawberries and raspberries, added flax seed oil, powdered fiber and used vanilla yogurt instead of milk. Very good, I will be making this more.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
I was skeptical at first, but let me tell you this is the best baked mac I have ever tasted! I added fresh chopped bacon, 1/2 cup milk, some green onion, dash of garlic powder, paprika and cayenne pepper. I also coated the top with a thin layer of cheddar and halved the amount of bread crumbs- yum! My new favorite mac n cheese.

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
Very good monkey bread recipe, but make sure you put a cookie sheet under whatever you bake this in... I didn't have a bundt pan, so I used an aluminum cake pan, a lot of the syrup mixture over-flowed and burned the bottom of my oven :( still good tasting recipe though...just use a cookie sheet!

We are from Ohio and have been making these for years! This is pretty similar to my grandmother's recipe. Don't skip the freezer part because these things melt fast!

Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
YUM! I actually used a 1/2 cup of bacon-ranch dressing, a dollop of mayo/sour cream/ cream cheese and mixed together. Then I added red onion, used cherry tomatoes and skipped the cheddar cheese. It was very delicious and my roommates loved it too! By accident, I bought the olives with the red jalapenos mixed in and it was actually really good! It gave the pasta an edgy spice that we all enjoyed. Next time I will add more bacon and olives (with red japs of course!).

Fruit Dip II

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
I have been making this dip for years! I was going to add the recipe on here but someone else beat me to the punch ;) Glad to see so many others enjoying this recipe. It is my favorite...never any leftovers! You can make as much or as little as you want as long as the ratio of fluff to cheese is balanced. Also, this dip can be saved in a sealed container for later and still tastes great. Yum!

Jeff's Chili Con Queso

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
My first time making queso! It was easier than I thought... I omitted the chili (personal preferance), added a handful of mexican blend cheeses and about 1/4 cup hot sauce. The hot sauce really added flavor and wasn't too spicy at all! I had to turn up the heat and stir often to avoid sticking to the pan but turned out great. Was a bit hit for an appetizer at a mini dinner party last night. Thank you Jeff :)

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
MMM MMM GOOD! My first apple pie ever and I have already made it 3 times! I made about 5 pies for christmas and gave them out as gifts- everyone raved about them! This is by FAR the absolute best apple pie recipe- EVER! I couldn't decide if I wanted a lattice crust or crumbled top so I did both ;) It is fun to get creative. I also added cinnamon before tossing the apple. I have had people who swear they don't care for pie gobble this one down. Thank you Grandma Ople!

Hot Cocoa Mix in a Jar

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
These came out to be really cute christmas gifts. I placed them in baskets and paired with the recipe from this site for "peppermint marshmallows"- a great addition to the cocoa jars! Very cute gift ideas, I would add more sweetener next time. Thanks :)

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
This was my first time making fudge, I can't believe how easy it was! I took another users advice to line the dish with saran wrap so taking out would be easier- it worked like a charm! I then cut out fudge using christmas cookie cutters and handed out as gifts for christmas, people were really impressed! Thank you :)
