Best Lemonade Ever

I made this for my brother's birthday party. Everyone loved it. It was easy to make. Followed the recipe exactly. Will make again. I actually used frozen lemon juice sold under the Minute Maid brand which I found in the "frozen foods" aisle beside the fruit concentrate juices. I just let them thaw out and measured it out. I needed two containers of it. Thank you for the wonderful recipe. Will be making it again!!!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

I have made three batches so far this week. It is awesome. So easy to make. I added an additional tsp. of cinnamon just because my family loves cinnamon so much. Freezes well too. The only suggestion to anyone making anything with zucchini is to make sure that you get as much water off of it before you use it. I shread it and let it sit for several hours and drain off the water. Thank you for an awesome recipe!!!

Tangy Dill Potato Salad

My family enjoyed this potato salad. I liked the italian dressing as a new twist. Really a good change from the standard potato salad. I did add 1/2 tbsp. of sugar and a 1/3c. of sour cream just because I'm more of a sweet that tangy tasting person . Also, since I did not have fresh dill, I used 1/2tsp. of dried dill weed. But still would of been great w/o any modifications that I made. I will make this again. It was very colorful due to the italian dressing too. Thanks for a great recipe!!!!

Cheddar Biscuits

Super biscuits!! They are very similar to the biscuits made at that "seafood" restaurant. Very easy to make and didn't take much time at all from beginning to end. I did not have garlic salt on hand. So, I used 3/4 tsp. of garlic powder and 1/4tsp. of salt and combined. They turned out wonderful. Would make again!!!! Thanks!!

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

We enjoyed this recipe. I subsituted chicken broth for the beef broth and cooking sherry and double the ingredients for the gravy. It turned out great. I made the patties ahead and just put them in the fridge to save me time when I started to make dinner. I served it w/mashed potatoes. My family asked me to make it again!!! Thanks!!!

Homemade Cream Filled Individual Sponge Cakes

I made these yesterday. I needed something to make for my kid's lunches. I did the recipe exactly as stated. They came out great. Next time, after the cake has been taken out of the pan and cooled, I am going to put the cake in the freezer before I cut it to make the bars. Just make it easier with the cake partially frozen. I put them in individual sandwich bags and put in the fridge so they will have snacks for the next few days for school. Thanks for the recipe!!

Peaches 'N Cream Pie

Great Pie!!!! I used a 10" pyrex pie plate and it turned out wonderful. Did the recipe exactly the way it said to, except I set aside 4 slices of the peaches as a garnish on top. My husband wants me to make it again. After the pie cooled down, I refrigerated it. Thank you!!!!

Zucchini Bread IV

Have made this recipe three times this season. Has good all around flavor. I just love zucchini bread. It freezes so well. Easy to make. Sometimes after shreading the zucchini, I may have a cup more. I just throw it in. I put rounded teaspoons of cinnamon in too. Our family loves cinnamon. Kids love it in there lunches!!! Will keep making this when I have extra zucchini. Thanks!!

Perfect Baked Potato

My family really liked this recipe. I made a whole 5lb. bag of russett potatoes (which was a total of 10). I put olive oil in a small bowl and used my silicone brush to put the oil on them. Then I just salted the potatoes to my taste. They baked a little less time than the 90 minutes (propably 10 min less). They were great. We really never ate baked potatoes in our house but we will now. We just added butter and sour cream to our potatoes accordingly. Thanks for the recipe!!!

Joey's Peanut Butter Cookies

Made these for my son's school. I never tried them and honestly I don't care for peanut butter cookies but my son asked for a peanut butter cookie. He said that everyone liked them including his teacher. He had none to bring home as they were all gone!!!! I take that as a compliment!!!

Grandma's Secret Pie Crust

The only pie crust recipe I use. I have used it for pumpkin, apple, and cherry pies. And I have used for my chicken pot pie crust too. I use my food processor and it always turns out wonderful. Thanks!!!!

Four Cheese Macaroni and Cheese

I love this recipe. Very good. I really use whatever cheeses I have on hand for this recipe. I always use evaporated milk instead of half and half that is indicated in the recipe. Just because that is what I have in my pantry. Family really likes this macaroni recipe. I have made it several times now. Thanks!!

My Mom use to make this when I was a kid. When I came across this recipe I knew I had to give it a try. The rice was delicious. I used my enameled cover casserole dish. Very simple and only four ingredients. Will definitely make again. Thanks for the recipe!!!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Cream Peas

I never had creamed peas before but I wanted to try something new as a vegetable for dinner and I came upon this recipe. Very simple to make and I just subsituted evaporated milk for the whipping cream (as I do not have that normally in my fridge). I did add some pepper too just because our family likes pepper. The kids and husband enjoyed them but I was not fond of them. I'm not sure if I will make again.

Honey Glazed Ham

This was a good recipe. I did the recipe as directed except I cut all the ingredients in half. That was plenty of glaze. I had never used whole cloves on a ham before. I did enjoy the taste the cloves gave to the ham. I basted as directed every 10 to 15 minutes and I used a 4 1/2lb. boneless ham. I did not caramelize the ham at the end as directed. I thought the ham looked great without that. Just my preference. The ham turned out great and my family enjoyed it. It was good but not "out of this world" if you know what I mean. I think I will make it again but but I may reduce the ingredients again as I was left with alot a glaze still. Thanks for the recipe.

Amish Macaroni Salad

My family enjoyed this recipe. Made this to go along with hamburgers on the grill and homemade burger rolls. Cannot eat alot of it because of how rich it is but still good. My husband doesn't like celery and the kids don't like raw onions but they liked this recipe. I did not have a red pepper but that did not affect the turnout for our liking. Thanks!!!

Best Egg Rolls

I have made these twice. Really you can play with the ingredients as to the way you like them. I shreaded approximately 3c. of cabbage and two good size carrots. I fry the 1lb. of sausage but I use fresh minced garlic instead of the garlic powder the second time. I also added the chinese five spice approximately 1/4 tsp. too. I added to cans of shrimp also I think they are 5 oz cans. I drained most of the liquid out of them. I ommitted the flour to seal the rolls. Water worked just well. I made the mistake of making them ahead and piling them on top of one another on a plate. When I went to fry them they had severely stuck together. Clearly the chef's mistake (lol). Next time I will keep them on a cookie sheet seperated from one another so they do not stick. But really a great recipe. Kids and husband want them again. Thanks so much!!!

Chewy Granola Bars

I really liked this recipe. It is very versatile in the fact that you can add whatever your preferences are. I added 1/2c. of coconut, 1/2c. of rice krispies, and a 1/2c. of cinnamon flavored applesauce to my mixture. I used the 2 cups of mini chocolate chips as in the recipe but next time I will use half as it was too chocolately for our family. I used a large cookie sheet and lined the bottom with parchment paper. Mine held together just fine. I baked until they were golden in color. I will be making these again. Great recipe!!! Did not think I could make my own granola bars and taste this good. Thanks!!!
