Just Like Wendy's® Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2013
Loved this, even one our National Night out chili cook-off with it! with one small change... I used 3/4 pd of Hot Pork Sausage in place of 1 lb of beef. I have done this with my chili for so long, and just have to have it in there now. Thanks for posting!

Excellent taste, however my husband likes tomatoes in almost everything so I added a can of petite diced tomatoes.

Down Home Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
We loved this recipe, I didn't have broccoli, but did have broccoli slaw, with carrots, cabbage ect so was able to make this with pretty much the same ingredients, just cut differently! This also saved time in the end for a quick easy worknight dinner. I also placed the potatoes in the microwave for about 8 minutes before adding to the pan. We will definitely have this again! Thank you for the wonderful dish!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
This turned out delicious! I did add a few things to it to make it go further in our household, outside the original recipe, 1 can cream of celery, one can of chicken broth, and a few potatoes. we had about a fourth of a bag of frozen peas and carrots that I also added in towards the end of the cooking time. it turned out a cross between chicken and dumplings and chicken pot pie!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2011
this was a lot of steps, but on a cool sunday afternoon, had the cousins coming over to help build a workbench in the garage, so while the boys were outside, the girls were inside pulling this recipe together and listening to some music! We all loved this, it made quiet a bit and so we invited a few more friends over to share. Everyone had some to take home and we still had some as leftovers the next day. I highly recommend following this recipe as written, you will not be disappointed!

This meatloaf was really moist and was delicious, however next time I will add a bit more spices to it. Believe me, it was all devoured in the end either way!

Restaurant-Style Potato Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2011
I had not made potato salad in years, but when a friend was having a barbeque they know I like to cook and no one was willing to make the potato salad, so he asked me. Let me just say, this turned out so good, and others at the party were saying "not sure who made this, but its awesome" Not one bite was left! I had increased the recipe for a full 5 pound bag of potatos, and followed everything else that was listed in the recipe, even the carrots only deviated with using partial dill relish, partial sweet relish. I really do think the vinegar and sugar made the difference. I will be offering to make potato salad again for cookouts and making it more at home as well!

White Bean Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2011
Very similar to a weight watcher's recipe I made for girls game night. The recipes are very interchangeable, but followed the Dove's nest one from WW which you add 2 tbsp lime juice and use cannelli white beans and a medium jalepeno are the differences. I cooked up my chicken with broth and garlic, set aside and started on the onions, jalepeno, garlic ect on stove, added everything to the crock pot for the party to finish it off. I too used salsa verde as suggested here, everyone loved this and it was gone in a flash had to email the recipe to them this morning.

Cabbage Patch Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
The only two things I changed were instead of 1 cup of water I used 2 cups of chicken broth ff, as I do with all soup/stews I make that call for water. Also, for some reason there were no green bell peppers at the store, so that was omitted. I also added extra cabbage and celery. The whole family really loved this stew!

Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
I have made this many times and figured out that using pork butt is definitely the way to go. However, keep in mind how much this will produce. I end up freezing the remaining without sauce in quart sized bags and use in other recipes! Pork tacos, Pork enchiladas, wraps ... ect When Im ready for the pulled pork I grab a quart sized back out of the freezer and boil in the bag on the stovetop until warmed.

Spicy Tortilla Roll-Ups

Thank you for the ideas, I was able to take this recipe, followed all steps. Then I did a second flavor roll-up using one of my spice packets I got at our local home and garden show roasted red pepper. Both flavors had rave reviews at the birthday party I took them too.

Restaurant-Quality Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
I couldn't beleive what a difference the potato flakes made in the soup! I picked up the loaded baked potato flavored and pretty much followed the recipe remaining recipe, much like the potato soup I have been making for years. Not a drop was left, everyone had two bowls each!

Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
I have made this recipe several times over the past year, it never fails to hit the spot. I use corn tortillas and lean ground beef with light cheese, I also add a can of rotel along with the other listed ingrediants. The leftovers are even better.
