Apple Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2014
What a great apple bread recipe. I used half white and brown sugar ( not quite a full cup)Next time I will add vanilla extract. I used my chopper from pampered chef for the apples. It was very good!

Roasted Cauliflower, Garlic, and Leek Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2014
I had a head of cauliflower waiting to be Cooked so I made this soup on a cold, damp, rainy day. I used onion in stead of leeks, replaced the chicken broth with vegetable broth and used herbs are instead of marjoram because that is what I had readily available in the house at the time. It was excellent. I am defiantly making this soup again! Next time I will plan it and have all ingredients available.

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2014
Great recipe I used agave syrup instead of white sugar because it is a healthier substitute for sugar. I sometimes add a squeeze of fresh lemon to my glass when I want an iced tea taste. I love this in the summer when it is too hot for hot beverages.

Whole Grain Breakfast Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2014
I really like this recipe,...i have made it 3 times now. the only substitution I made was using coconut oil for the canola oil in the recipe and I also used craisins for the cherries because I didn't have any one time when I did buy dried cherries I liked the craisins in the cookies better! I will try both this time I also make a double batch and freeze some for later. I have to remember to soak craisins & dried cherries in hot water for a minute before adding, that is what someone told me to do when adding dried fruit to recipes This is a great recipe!!!

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2013
If you want fall off the bone ribs this is a great recipe. The secret is to cook the ribs as indicated in the oven first to get some fat off, then you can add your own BBQ sauce or follow the recipe. I usually make my own with BBQ sauce, ketchup, worchesterchire, hot sauce, brown sugar & red wine vinegar to my liking. The kids love these ribs everytime I make them and its so easy with the crock pot. Set it in the morning and come home to a dinner that is easy to put together!
