About this Cook
I love to try new things, and have really found a lot of recipes on the internet and especially on allrecipes. I currently love Indian, Middle Eastern and Vegetarian cooking. Trying to stay fit and healthy.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite food is Asian right now but my tastes change often and I find that I will try something else entirely different.
My favorite family cooking traditions
At christmas I started making biscotti for my father, who dearly loved them. I now make them every christmas for family and friends.
My cooking triumphs
The first time I made sushi, I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was and how good it was.
My cooking tragedies
When I was first married both my husband and I worked. I had a new crockpot, a wedding gift, that I used to make a pot roast. I did it all before I left for work and was so excited to come home and sit down to dinner with my hubby. As soon as I came in the door my husband declared that we were going out to dinner. I looked at the crockpot and all there was in it was a layer of charcoal on the bottom. I must have forgotten to put in the liquid. Hubby was very understanding but I was so upset that I cried to entire trip to the restaurant.

Grandma's Creamy Ham Casserole
I made this recipe & found it very tasty. I served it with cooked broccoli on the side, next time I may just add broccoli to the recipe.

BBQ Country Style Ribs
I made these when I found country ribs on sale. Didn't have a recipe but always go to for anything I don't know how to cook. These were the best ribs I've had in a long time. My brother in law was practically licking the plate. This is the second time I made them & just as yummy as the first time. Thanks for this easy delicious recipe.

Carrot, Potato, and Cabbage Soup
This soup was so easy & very good, the only difference was I made was with Thai Coconut Curry broth because that was all I had. The hubby & I couldn't get enough of it. I will make it next time with regular chicken stock just to see how different it is.
