I love this recipe. I set my bread machine to dough setting and split the dough in two and allow it to rise in a warm place (on preheating oven with a warm damp towel over it) for 30 minutes. Then I cut a long slit in the top and stuff with 1 tablespoon butter per another review. I bake at 350 for about 20 minutes and it is so moist and delicious. I have tried experimenting with the flour:
2 cups bread + 1 cup whole wheat bread flour
1 cup bread + 1 cup all purpose + 1 cup whole wheat bread + 1 cup juice pulp (carrot, apple, ginger, sweet potato, whatever I juice) and this came out the best so far.
I am now baking loaves with 1 1/2 cups bread + 1/2 cup whole rye +1 cup whole wheat bread + 1/8 cup flax meal + 1/8 cup flax seed + 1 cup juice pulp (including beets: the dough is pink!).
I love how versatile this bread is and I am enjoying experimenting with the recipe. I should mention I tried it once with all whole wheat bread flour and it was way too dense. I have not figured out how to make a good 100% whole grain bread yet :(
