About this Cook
I am a single mom of 3 growing girls. I am trying my best to get them to learn to love food and to try new things all the time. I was a picky eater and then one day my taste buds woke up and said "Hey I want some better stuff". Now I love to try new things and bring back old favorites my family has made.
My favorite things to cook
I love comfort food and trying to sneak in some healthier things as I can. If you can give me a good recipe of chicken Fried Steak and make that healthy I will try it. LOL So far just smaller size is all I've been able to do.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to cook with my girls and we have started a little tradition of picking a country or holiday and making food from there or that one would find there. It has made it fun and interesting dishes. We also do a night where we pick a color and try to put as many foods with that color on the table
My cooking triumphs
As silly as this is my best moment was when I made Biscuits like my Mamaw did. As kid I loved going to her house and always finding them on the table. I know she is smiling at me.
My cooking tragedies
I have had oh so many... but I would have to say the time I tried to make "Ratatouille" without a recipe and I had never even eaten it. I did find a recipe and it was much better.

Cranberry Chicken I
This is so easy and tasty... a great way to enjoy cranberries and the nice and tangy sauce.

Normal Chicken
We love normal chicken! I have to say this is the easiest and quickest way to make the chicken disappear. After the first time making it the kids talked so much about it I had 2 mom's call to find out what it was. Much thanks

German Baby
I had seen a dutch baby on TV and so wanted to try one. This was the easiest ever and everyone loved it. I've been making them at least once a month for bout 8 months. I make a fruit topping with a bag og frozen mixed berries and 1/2 cup of sugar and about 1/4 cup water and cook down till thickens up. Kids love it over their babies.
