Chewy Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2012
Delicious is all I can say about these cookies! Perfect amount too; a lot of cookie recipes are for 5 to 6 dozen and that's too much for my husband and myself. I also followed the recipe as given and it was easy and delicious!!

Chocolate Mayo Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2010
I have made other cakes with mayonnaise and they all turned out great! This cake is no exception...it was easy to make and tasted great! I opted for the cream cheese frosting as I am not such a chocolate cake/chocolate frosting fan and it was delicious! My husband is not a cake fan but even he liked it! Thank you for this great recipe!

Fluffy Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2010
If these biscuits were any lighter they would have floated away!!! Absolutely delicious, heavenly!! Never had a better tasting biscuit before! This went perfect with my homemade split pea soup on a windy, rainy day in The Netherlands!! And for dessert I made the Chocolate Mayo cake with cream cheese frosting!! If that doesn't tell my husband how much I love him then I'm fresh out of ideas!!

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
I love this recipe so much that I hand-printed it on a small notepad and it has a permanent place in my kitchen drawer! Every Sunday morning I make an American breakfast; pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs (and sometimes hashbrowned potatoes). I live in The Netherlands now and I try to keep a little USA in our household! What's great about this recipe is that if you make extra you can freeze them and they still taste great!!

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2013
I have tried many banana bread recipes but I have to say that my mouth literally fell open when I saw how beautiful this banana bread came out of the oven and when I tasted the first slice...wow!! I baked the banana bread exactly for 1 hour and 20 minutes; no need to check it and have to bake it a little longer like some recipes. I didn't have quite 1 cup mashed bananas (I only had 2 very ripe ones) but the taste was still great!! I also only used 1 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup packed brown sugar and that is because I love the taste of brown sugar. Oh, and I did put in 1/2 cup chopped walnuts; delicious!! I would love to give this recipe 10 stars if I could!!

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2013
I just made this pudding and it's cooling in the refrigerator right now. I chose this recipe because of the simple ingredients and the easiness of the instructions. I didn't change a thing about the recipe and by the looks of it it should taste great tonight after dinner!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2014
I just made this bread and it was delicious! I did add about 2/3 cup shredded coconut, 2/3 cup dried cranberries and 1/2 cup sour cream only because I didn't have any nuts. Super recipe!

One Bowl Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2010
I made this recipe last evening; I thought it sounded good and there were few ingredients and they sounded good. Should have known better. I have always used a cocoa powder recipe that everyone likes. These brownies were so sticky and yucky tasting! I even used parchment paper because alot of the readers mentioned how sticky they were and hard to get out of the pan. Will never make this recipe again and will delete it out of my recipe box. Such a waste of the chocolate squares...

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2012
I've read most of the reviews and totally kept to the recipe except I got kind of worried when the melted butter, flour and sugars turned into a gummy paste. I simmered and simmered and even added some more water and I ended up just spooning the stuff on top of the apples. I then put the lattice top on and put into the oven. I don't mind if the pie isn't great looking as long as it tastes good. I hope so.....
