About this Cook
I'm 57 years old and moved to The Netherlands in 1990 with my 2 daughters and husband (now ex). Love the 4 seasons here and the people! I do miss California and the rest of my family and friends but life is a constant change. I'm a grandmother for the first time October 21, 2012 my granddaughter Elyja was born!
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking Indonesian foods, Italian, Mexican and generally all types of good tasting dishes.
My cooking triumphs
My cakes are my biggest triumphs; red velvet, chocolate zucchini, carrot cake to name a few.
My cooking tragedies
I am now married to a great man but as he's really Dutch he's not too thrilled at being my guinea pig when I try new recipes. My cooking "failures" have been some chicken recipes but then again he's never had any typical American recipes. He loves sloppy joes, tacos, burritos and Indonesian ayam pedis (hot chicken). So really my cooking tragedy would be my husband (just kidding!).

Mom's Zucchini Bread
I just made this bread and it was delicious! I did add about 2/3 cup shredded coconut, 2/3 cup dried cranberries and 1/2 cup sour cream only because I didn't have any nuts. Super recipe!

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding
I just made this pudding and it's cooling in the refrigerator right now. I chose this recipe because of the simple ingredients and the easiness of the instructions. I didn't change a thing about the recipe and by the looks of it it should taste great tonight after dinner!
