About this Cook
I am a newly single mom. I love spending time in the kitchen and having my 3 year old help me cook. We are learning a lot together and it is fun to try new things with him. I have grown up cooking and I want him to have a look for home cooked meals as I do. Growning up on the farm taught me many things about good food and family. I just hope I will be able to teach half as much to my son.
My favorite things to cook
I love trying new recipes. I think my favorite right now is anything to do with fresh veggies I have a huge garden that I am having trouble keeping up with. I think the best thing is when you make the recipe the second time and change it just a little bit to your taste add this or take out that...
My favorite family cooking traditions
Having the whole family help with dinner. It is the best feeling to sit down to a meal that everyone has had a hand in helping to prepare.
My cooking triumphs
Wanton chicken tacos. My favorite!!!
My cooking tragedies
Always learning there are a lot of things that I try and later wish I would not have done that... Oh well you don't know in less you try right??

The Best Fresh Tomato Salsa
Yumm!! I have been finding ways to use up all my tomatoes from my garden and this is my favorite. I have been canning left and right and by far this is the best and easiest salsa I have made. I have added garlic cloves. Everyone loves it.
