Delicious. I used pear as well as apple. Granny smith apples were perfect. Will serve with Indian dishes.

Vegan Agave Cornbread Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2012
Yum! My mom is a vegan and gluten free. I've made these with spelt flour before too. I had chunky applesauce and the bits of apple were heavenly. I did half maple syrup and half agave which lended to a scrumptious flavor. I also reduced the oil in half and baked the muffins at 425 degrees for 18 minutes and they were done to perfection. Will make again for sure.

Dessert Crepes

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2011
Easy to make. We even forgot to melt the butter and it turned out great. We omitted the sugar as we wanted some sweet and some savory crepes for breakfast. Yum!

Spiced Banana Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
This would be better as a muffin. It needs the cream cheese frosting as it is quite dry. I used 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and allspice and nutmeg each. This recipe needs to be improved for me to make again.

Turkey Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
We used half and half instead of milk and added about 1/2 cup of frozen peas as well at the end. It's very tasty. We also used mashed potatoes instead of cubing fresh ones since we needed to use it up and it was great.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
These were gobbled up tonight. I used half smooth and half chunky peanut butter as well as cutting the white sugar down to 1/4 cup as the pb had sugar in it already. I found it needed a bit more than 10 minutes to cook but realized they do harden once they cool. Will make again!

Banana Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2010
The only thing I would change is to pour half the custard and add another banana layer and then pour the rest of the custard. I also cut the sugar to a little less than 1/2 cup and it was still very sweet. A tasty tasty treat.

Chicken Souvlaki Gyro Style

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
The chicken was not as flavourful as I thought it would be on it's own. But it tasted good served in a pita with lots of tzaziki to give it some taste. I would save my expensive balsamic vinegar for another recipe.
