The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2006
Easy to make. Tasty, soft cookies. Be careful not to cook much longer than time in recipe or they will burn.

Cheater Pot Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2006
So easy and delicious. I used regular chicken, chopped to bite-size pieces and sauted. Then added veggies and soup. Also used low-fat very large buttermilk biscuits. My husband and 2 yr old both loved it!

Excellent taste. I make them as mini muffins and just cook them 15 minutes or so.

Candied Kielbasa

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2006
Husband loved it. I thought it was okay. I guess I expected it to be more crispy in texture. Taste was good. Nice mix of spicy, salty and sweet!

Crab Cakes II

Very good. Just a little on the bland side. I added Old Bay. Next time I will add some other seasonings. My 2 yr old loved crushing the crackers and he even ate some of the crab cake.

Shrimp Linguine Alfredo

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2005
Excellent dish. The sauce was a little on the thin side. I added more than the recommended cheese and that thickened it a bit.

Deep Dish Chicken Pot Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2005
Excellent and easy to prepare. I did not use the Herb-ox bouillon but substituted chicken broth for the water. Only complaint was that it was a little watery when we first cut into it. After a little time, it thickened. The whole family loved it!

Carol's Arroz Con Pollo

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2005
This was very good, even my two year old ate it! i like that it is low-fat yet rich in flavor. My husband and I added some hot sauce at the table. I did make a couple of changes. Didnt have saffron so I omitted it. I also didnt have green peppers. I threw in a couple of table spoons of salsa so that I got a few pepper pieces in.

Bananas Foster I

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2005
Amazing. I love the way the caramel hardened a little. Not sure if that is the way it is supposed to come out but yummy still. I left out the banana liqueur and the lemon.

Oven Fish 'N' Chips

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2005
Very good recipe. It did seem a little sweet to me though. I wasnt sure if it was the coating or the fish. My husband and SIL liked it a lot too. One change, I used a real egg rather than egg beaters because I didnt have them.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2005
Very good chili. Just the right combination of meat, beans and spice. I did make a couple of modifications. I sauted a whole onion, a green and a red bell pepper all chopped and then added them to the chili. I let it cook about 2 hours on the stove.

Slow Cooker Split Pea Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2005
Very good. I made it with chopped ham steak. Only suggestion was it needed salt and pepper because it tasted too sweet from the carrots. It also seemed a little watery even though I also reduced water to 8 cups.

Very good but a little soggy. I would either turn it over once or broil it for a moment to crisp.

New England Clam Chowder II

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2005
It is very good, excellent taste. I am just a little confused about what you do with the bacon. Do you take it out after cooking it and put it back in with clams or do you leave it in while you saute the potatoes? The other thing and maybe this is just me but if you overcook the bacon and it burns a little the color of the soup turns gray. We do love the taste
