My husband and I live in Northern California in the wine country of Sonoma County. 6 kids, down to the 3 youngest boys at home, and a grand daughter. We are very lucky to live in Sonoma where fresh veggies, meat, dariy, fish, and wine are all at our finger tips. Catering Manager and Banquet Manager at 2 of the finest resorts. Culinary trained and continue my education all the time. I read cook books like others read novels. We have a large garden so it's fun planting new things and using them in my food.

I love trying new things. I'm always entertaining so I am always looking for recipes that serve a crowd but could be somewhat done before the guest arrive. Now that we are down to just 3 kids at home I'm having to learn how to cook smaller portions so my husband is not eatting left overs again and again. Freshness and local items are very important to me.
