Vanilla Glazed Carrots

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2014
I really liked them this way but they were a little too sweet for my boyfriend. Will make again in the future, maybe I will try a little less honey.

Orange Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2014
This marinade was surprisingly good and it left the pork chops so tender and juicy. I marinaded them using just the OJ soy sauce and rosemary for 3 hours and ended up baking mine with a slice of fresh orange on each pork chop to hold in the moisture until they were 145F (we still have a few feet of snow outside and it was snowing today so grilling would be difficult) and they still turned out just wonderfully. Made them for 5 people and they all loved them as well, you can definitely taste the orange in them. Cannot wait until the snow finally melts so I can try them on the grill. Thanks for the recipe will definitely be using this one again.

Delicious Salmon

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2014
I really love salmon but I thought this recipe was rather salty and covered the natural taste of the salmon instead of complimenting it. It wasn't my favorite but it really wasn't bad either. Overall I would say just OK. I only marinaded the salmon filets for 45 minutes but it was plenty of time for the marinade to permeate completely through the filets. Next time I might try just brushing the salmon with the marinade instead of soaking them.

Slow Cooker Chicken Marrakesh

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2012
I made this tonight according to the recipe. Many reviewers said that it was great as is, some said it was too sweet, and some said it was too bland. Initially I think it tasted rather bland but the more I ate the more I could taste the spices so I am glad I did not add more that the recipe called for. My boyfriend said that it was too sweet and did not care for it but I did not think it was to sweet at all so I think this has a lot to do with personal preference. I am not quite sure what it is about this dish but it does feel like its missing something like other reviewers have said.

Stewed Cabbage

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
I made mine with chicken broth instead of butter to save on calories and added a pound of lean hamburger to make a full meal out of it. Turned out great!

Sara's Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2011
I noticed that if you plan on making a lot of pumpkin pies it is just easier to buy the pumpkin pie spice which combines the cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice, and cloves. Just add the amount for each spice to get the amount of pumpkin pie spice that you need (2 1/2 tsp) and it turns out just perfect without having to measure out and find all of these different spices.
