Amazing White Clam Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2013
I love the recipe and same with my fiance' and younger sister. I make this pretty regularly. I did change it to some of the reviews suggestions. I use heavy cream instead of half and half. I use 2 cans of minced clams and 2 cans of whole clams. I add all the juice and let it simmer. Added 1 shallot to the onion and used minced garlic. Every time I make it everyone has at least 2 plates full of the linguine and clam sauce. Thanks for sharing.

Slow Cooker Barbequed Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2013
My first time making barbeque. We loved it. I didn't have whiskey so I used some dry white wine and used beef boullion instead of beef broth because that is what I had on hand. I added more onion and used minced garlic added all the ingredients and let the pork go for 6 hours. I then took the meat out and used about 1/2 cup of the broth and added sweet baby rays barbeque sauce 2 different bottles. Let that cook on low for 2 hours and it was delicious. Thank you for sharing.

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
was very good. I used 16 oz package of elbow maccaroni and doubled the recipe. I used a little over 3 cups of milk and added various cheeses instead of the american cheese because I had mozzerella and colby/monterrey jack cheese already at the house. My fiance had 3 plus helpings of it. I will make this recipe again. The onion was chopped finely and couldn't tell if there was any in it.

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2013
Made this recipe using 24 oz of frozen large shrimp. I also sauteed 1 shallot and used 1 1/2 stick of butter and some dry white wine. We both enjoyed it and there wasn't any leftovers. It was simple to make and will make the recipe again. Thank you for sharing. I had rave reviews from my fiance saying this is the best recipe.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2013
It was delicious. I first seasoned the chicken with some poultry seasoning salt and pepper and small amt of garlic powder. I boiled the chicken in turkey broth added carrots and potatoes with the chicken saved the broth and boiled the peas and some corn in the same broth. I sauteed the onion and celery added a small amt 1/4 teaspoon of minced garlic. I didn't have celery seed. I also used a pie crust recipe on this site and added that as a topper for one of the pies. I had enough filling to make a 2nd pot pie. I also reduced the flour to less than what it called for. Excellent recipe. I had 3 servings myself and my fiance had 2 servings and ate some out of the pie pan. First time making pot pie. Will use this recipe again with my own flavoring tweaks. I just had to watch the pies closely. Was finished by 25 minutes in my oven.

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: May 13, 2012
Enjoyed making this stew. Taste very good. i prepped the meat in a zip lock bag using 6 teaspoons of flour, a little garlic powder some cracked pepper and meat tenderizer. I did use 2 cans of beef broth and prior to adding the broth after I browned the meat I deglazed the pan with1/2 a cup of merlot wine. the stew was very tender. I did not add any salt because I have to have low sodium due to pregnancy and swelling. I will make again.

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2011
its an excellent recipe. I adjusted to my own preference. and you know what people that get angry that we adjust its a recipe. I did use more garlic I used 3 cloves when i sauted my onions and garlic in olive oil... I used the jimmy dean hot breakfast sausage roll because target didnt have the italian sausage and it turned out great. I added 3 bay leaves for the first 30 minutes italian seasoning...wasnt going to pay 3 dollars for fresh basil so i used dried basil and the italian seasoning... I also added cut up mushrooms with the zucchini at the end i used 1 fresh tomato and 1 can tomatoes for the first 30 minutes with a hint of poultry seasoning. overall i think the recipe is great! will make again. also seperated my tortellini from my soup so it wouldnt soak up all the juices the next day. Love leftovers. my spouse ate 2 bowls of it and i did too. next time i might add more vegies... but seasoning is always a must.
