Albondigas

Too bland for my tastes the way written. I added a small can of spicy v8 juice, hominy, and rice. Seasoned to taste with salt, pepper, and hot sauce. Next time I will add some more spices while cooking.

Sunshine Toast

LOVE!! My friends dad used to make these for us on school mornings and I thought he was the best dad ever. They are supper easy and fun for kids. I sometimes use different shaped cookie cutters and the kids love it. I also toast up the extra piece of bread for dipping in the yolk...YUM.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2012
Very good!! I added potatoes and green beans then used 2 cups of broth and 1 cup of milk since some reviewers said it was a bit dry and it came out perfect! It was enough to make 2 deep dish pot pies. Great recipe for winter!!!

Get a Husband Brunswick Stew

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2012
I have never had Brunswick stew so I don't have anything to compare it too. I cooked as directed except scaled it down to 6 servings. I thought it was a little too sweet with the cream corn. We ate it (my husband ate two bowls!) but I don't think I will be making it again. Really glad I scaled the recipe down or I would have had too much food!

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2012
Very good. I used chicken tenders cause that's what I had. I might cut down the basil just a pinch cause it's a little too much for my liking but other then that very good.

Slow Cooker Beef Tips and Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2012
Pretty good, I also used stew meat instead and my family does not like mushrooms so I used onion soup instead and garlic powder. I will make again but next time will add some seasonings as it was a little plain but that's probably because I didn't use the mushroom soup with garlic.

Amy's Po' Man Green Beans and Sausage Dish

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2012
I didn't make this exactly as written but they way I made it I give it 4 stars. I didn't have hours to make this dish so instead I steam cooked my green beans separately. While they were steaming I started cooking my potatoes in a skillet with 1/2 an onion and 1 T. of butter. When my potatoes were almost done I added a green bell pepper, the green beans, and salt and pepper to taste. Served with some corn bread and the whole fam ate it up!!

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2012
Really enjoyed these. I added a can of Rotel and corn, 1/2 tsp. each of cumin and chili powder. Then served with avocado slices, shredded cheese, and sour cream. I will be making often, next time I'll have to add shredded chicken or pork to entice my husband to try it!!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2012
Very good flavor!! I toned it down on the soy sauce and squeezed in a bit more honey. I did double the recipe for the sauce so we could have some extra to top our rice. It was a little spicy with the hot sauce but I guess that depends on what hot sauce you use. So if your feeding it to the kiddos you might want to cut that in half. Will make again!!

Poor Man's Hamburger Steaks

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2012
Pretty good, although I don't like mushrooms so I used a can of cream of onion soup instead. I scaled down the recipe to 2 servings which made 4 patties. I cooked on the stove top browning the patties with sliced onion and minced garlic for added flavor. Once patties were browned on both sides I drained fat, added soup, a bit of beef broth, and beef bouillon.
