Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2007
Made these last night for a quick dinner. Heat the griddle over high heat till it was hot, then turned the heat to medium high. Cooked them till bubbles appeared on the top, flipped them, and continued till second side was golden. No doubt these are the most scrumptious pancakes ever...fluffy and flavorful. Oh, yes I made sure the buttermilk and egg were at room temperature before I made the batter.

Morgan's Breakfast Polenta

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2006
Thought I'd give this a try and did. Texture was nice. Flavor was OK. Toppings improved the overall taste. Standing in one spot for over 30 minutes stiring and stiring for an OK result somehow detracts from the overall rating.

Barbecued Beef Sandwiches

Delicious! Cooked a 5 lb chuck roast in the slow cooker thinking leftovers would be good for lunch the next day. WRONG!! NO leftovers. Great balance of flavors. Substituted dried minced onion, and added some hot sauce for a little kick. Everyone really enjoyed this recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Pretty good. I like my version better, using lots more garlic, and a handful of romano cheese added to the mixture.

HERB-OX® Bouillon Pork Chops with Burgundy Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2003
Have made this twice now.First time followed the recipe without changes...excellant.Second time, finished the recipe in a 325 degreee oven after I browned the chops on top the stove over medium high heat. Sauted a sliced onion till golden in a little butter, using same pan. Added the mushrooms at this point, and cooked till tender. Returned chops to the pan,and continued with the recipe. Baked everthing at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Removed the chops to a plate to keep warm. Reduced liquid in pan to about half, and served over the meat. Lovely.

Linguine with Artichokes and Lemon

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2003
I've made this several times now and always have declisious results. Some times I follow the recipe without any changes. Other times I substitute marinated artichokes for the frozen, using the marinade in the jar to saute a cup of sliced mushrooms with the green onion. Continue with the instructions, but then add grated Parmesan cheese to taste before the whole thing is tossed. You are gonna love it! I promise.
