Monkey Bread Made Easy

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2011
Very good, I decreased the cooktime a little but it just depends on your oven. Glad to be done with mushy centers!

Chocolate Dipped Caramels with Sea Salt

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
These are fantastic if you love sea salt as much as I do :). I took Kraft caramels and sliced them in half (b/c the full thing was a little tough to chew too much caramel for the chocolate coating) then I used sharp toothpicks and dipped each in melted dark chocolate and sprinkled salt to taste. When I removed the toothpicks, i used a spoon to put a bit of chocolate to cover the hole. Everyone loved them.

Dawn's Candied Walnuts

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
These are wonderful! I was making them for family and for my coworkers, and I had to bag them very quickly so I didn't keep eating them! I didn't have to change a thing! I assume they'd be great with pecans as well. Thanks so much

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2010
These were great. I followed other reviewers suggestions of adding peppermint extract for the holidays, freezing the dough for 45 minutes to make it easier to work with, and finally baking them on the second to the top rack so they would crack. They turned out wonderful my boyfriend couldn't stop eating them :) Thanks these will be added to the Christmas cookie list for next year too.

Triple Layer Banana Cream Pie Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
This tastes great, I used low fat pudding (banana cream) and sugar free cool whip and it was still fantastic. It did not last long in our house. I did end up using a little more butter to make the crust less crumbly. Thanks

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2010
The meatballs were wonderful but the sauce I felt needed a lot more flavor, I ended up adding more basil, oregano, salt. Thanks for the recipe!

Sausage Cheese Grits

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
This was great, i put some extra cheese on top and then broiled it until it was crispy. My roommates both went for seconds. Thanks!

Ultimate Maple Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
These cookies taste good but they do not have enough maple flavor for my taste, they just taste like snickerdoodles, and i followed the directions, and used real maple sugar and syrup but still found myself craving more maple.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
This was good, I used pork shoulder like most other reviewers. I added some apple cider vinegar to the bbq sauce and after shredding it put it back in the crock pot for another 30 minutes.

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
I was disappointed in this. I liked the sauce by itself but the flavor didn't transfer to the salmon. So the flavor is good if it could only coat the salmon more and sink in it would be delicious. Thanks anyway.

French Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
This was a huge hit with my roommates. It had wonderful flavor and I used homemade croutons vs. the bread b/c it makes it easier to eat. Everyone was pleased. Thanks for the recipe.

Sukhothai Pad Thai

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
This was okay but not restaurant style good. I am not sure what it needed though. I did replace the soy with fish sauce as everyone had suggested and that improved the flavor. Perhaps if we try it again add something to make it spicy and possibly switch rice vinegar for the white?

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
These were great! As close as I've come to the real thing, tastes best when warm. They did not last long at all at my house and although everyone was full from dinner people kept wanting to grab another biscuit.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
I would probably put this more at 4.5 b/c it was great but needed more seasoning so I added chicken seasoning to the gravy and it turned out excellent. I did them individually and there was one left that my roommates fought over for lunch the next day :)

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2010
I really like this. I used about 1/2 the sugar b/c it would have been much too sweet for my taste otherwise. Thanks!

I really enjoy this potato salad. I made it to go with pulled pork and loved the addition of bacon. Will have to try with green onions next time.

I was disappointed in these. I was very excited to try them but they really needed some spices/flavoring. They just tasted pretty bland.

Baklava

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
This turned out great and was MUCH easier than I thought it would be. I would probably add more of the liquid but that is a personal preference for it to be a little sweeter. Thanks for the recipe.

Kentucky Bourbon Balls

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
These were great. Only thing I did differently was I probably tripled the bourbon b/c I'm from KY and this is how I prefer them. They tasted great, and I brought them to my boyfriends family in Vermont/Northern NY and they loved them as well. I recommend freezing them prior to dipping in chocolate to avoid too much melting. Will be making again next holiday season.
