First...success...I made a banana bread that is only about 100 calories per slice...yeah!! ┬áBanana Bread is one of my son's favorite things, especially for breakfast...so with many attempts and alot of research, on this site and others; I finally was able to bake a tea bread that has come out… MORE

Baking is so therapeutic...with 2 science degrees and 2 education degrees...my favorite place is baking (and tasting) in my kitchen. Just created a blog on this site: Loosing "Half of Myself"...without loosing my mind.
My favorite things to cook
If I have to cook...it's with a slow cooker...so far, (knocking on wood) it hasn't failed me yet! I am now working to get healthy...I have lost 150 pounds so far...and this is encouraging me to cook, and cook healthy. I have been recently very successful with Shirataki Noodles, Artichokes Hearts and oven roasted veggies...low in calories and very healthy!

Creating the "carrot cake" from my youth...and figuring out my Polish Grandmother's Christmas cookie recipe that uses her irons...and they older than dirt
My cooking tragedies
I try to cook healthy...so to keep loosing weight. I found this recipe for a "healthy" eggplant parmesan...it took me all day to prepare...and was so not worth the time and effort...and it tasted worse than dirt. There are just some things that should not be changed.
