Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2011
So so good! My family all agreed that this a recipe to make again (and again). Super easy! Didn't change a thing except cook the chicken breast right in the crock and then shredded before serving. Taste is great and spice level is perfect.

Tanya's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2011
A delicious cookie with a cup of coffee! Worth making, but gave it 4 stars because it needs a touch more flavor. THe addition of vanilla and almond is a must! I put 1 tsp of cinnamon in the dough but I'd venture to put much more in next time.

Quick and Easy Fruit Dip

Simple and tasty. I used kiwi-apple-strawberry juice and this was the perfect fruit dip flavor.

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2011
So good! Great dinner party appetizer because you can have them prepared ahead of time. I assembled the morning of our party and put in freezer until about 30 min before cooking I moved to the fridge. The cheese then didn't melt all over. In my opinion the cream cheese should not be left plain; be creative and add different seasonings. I added a chipotle seasoning to mine and was delicious.

Antipasto Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2011
One of the best pasta salads I've come across. I made for a dinner party and had many compliments. I followed the recipe exactly, minus the meat to make it vegetarian and used rainbow rotini noodles. The asiago cheese is a must and makes the salad delicious! As is, this recipe makes A LOT!! serves far more than 12, but keeps well in the fridge.

while pickled beets are not everyone's favorite, this recipe ought to be a pickled-beet-fan's favorite! Very easy and just the right amount of spices.

Thai Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2011
Loved this recipe! It's a refreshing summer salad. If want a spicer taste skip seeding the jalepenos. I made this recipe once with rice vinegar and once with white vinegar & tasted essentially the same (in case you don't have rice vinegar stocked in your cupboard).

Old Fashioned Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2011
This is an excellent, yet simple, pie recipe. The thickening agent can be substituted with the agent of your choice, such as flour, or water + cornstarch, or tapioca. The cinnamon is the secret ingredient. To avoid having a "soupy" pie, it is imperative that you let the pie sit several hours (24 ideally). This allows to the pie to set and be ready for service. Enjoy this recipe!

Bake Sale Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2010
No good. Made just like the recipe says. The crust is baked way too long! Should only be bake 10 mintues, then add topping and bake another 25 or so minutues. Doing it as the recipe says gives you a burnt crust. The filling is rubbery and tasteless.
