About this Cook
I am a stay-at-home mom to three adorable children, all under the age of five. I love to cook and love teaching them the joy of creating delicious food. We try to grow most of our produce in the summer, and buy the rest at farmer's markets. I love being inspired by my children's interest in seasonal fruit and veggies.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy trying new recipes. I love cooking simple, wholesome yet delicious food that everyone thinks is complicated.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking pie, and other desserts with my mother. (My aunt has created many award winning pie and cookie recipes.)
My cooking triumphs
There are many... My Lamb burgers and Lamb meatballs are loved by many. My husband's paella recipe is better than most Spanish restaurants!
My cooking tragedies
For some reason, I can not make a great salad... perhaps it's my dressing.

Make-Ahead Vegetarian Moroccan Stew
This is an easy, delicious stew with all the flavors of Morocco. I honeymooned there--So, it brings me back! If you wanted to add chicken to this recipe, it would work quite nicely!

Vegetarian Moroccan Stew
Overall, a good solid dish. I would hit it w/ some sweetness; like adding, raisins, dried apricots, or a raisin-onion relish.

Vegetarian Moussaka
overall, this is a great recipe. I think that it's important to use yukon gold potatoes and make sure that they get crispy before putting them in the casserole dish. The other thing, add cinnamon (makes it taste like a greek recipe). To make more low cal, and not skimping on taste, I used half the feta. It still tasted great! Also, double the beschamel sauce--then it will be fluffy, like a real moussaka. With these changes, I will for sure be making it again!
