Schmag Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2001
The cilantro is the real zinger in this recipe....adds wonderful flavor! Although it takes a while to cut up the fruit, many compliments are sure to be received. I garnished the top of mine with thinly sliced persimmons.

Bacon 'n' Egg Bundles

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
This is the second time I made this and both very easy and tasty. I had trouble the first time with the bacon but I fixed that problem by using turkey bacon because it stays flexible and is healthier. Over all, this recipe was delicious, easy and my whole family loved it.

Death by Chocolate Mousse

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
Good name and WOW was this good! I made this just as a mousse (no crust) served in glasses. Rum whipped cream was the topping with a sprinkle of cocoa. The room grew quiet when everyone first tasted....and then the rave reviews started to flow. Wonderful and easy. I'll definitely make this again.

Harvest Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
I loved this salad....particularly without the dressing. Nuts were fantastic. I added red leaf lettuce and wild greens as well.

Miso Sesame Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
This is a very well balanced dressing. The taste of sesame rose slightly above the other flavors...yummy! I was particularly delighted that each ingredient is healthful (particularly if using organic miso to avoid GMO soy). Try it, you'll like it!

Roasted Garlic Tzatziki

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2012
This was a most excellent tzatziki! I didn't see any reason to strain the greek yogurt as what I used (Greek Gods brand) was very thick already. However, I did make sure to get as much water as possible out of the cucumber. Also used dill (instead of mint) and 2 regular sized whole garlic bulbs. Texture and weight were perfect! Loved that there wasn't mayo or sour cream in this recipe. It's a keeper....am making more today!!

Pot Roast, Vegetables, and Beer

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2012
So yummy! I used potato flour instead of the white wheat flour in order to keep the meal gluten free. Also, pureeing the mushrooms with some of the beer allowed my family to thoroughly enjoy the flavor they add without ever knowing they were even there! And what a perfect, smooth gravy is created as it cooks. It was delicious and we'll be eating this again!
