Stuffed Jack-O-Lantern Bell Peppers

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
These are so cute! They tasted yummy, too. I changed the recipe a little. I didn't add the bread, mustard, or tomato. Instead I added uncooked oats, 2 eggs, and some milk along with the other ingredients. I will make these again. Thanks for a great recipe!

Pumpkin Cheesecake Squares

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
I made this cheesecake and it came out awesome. I did make a few minor changes from the recipe. I added a cup of sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice. I didn't add the cinnamon chips because the store didn't have them. I just sprinkled some cinnamon on the cookie dough instead. The only glitch was that the crust burned on the underside. But that could be my error as I baked it for 40 minutes. I had the pan lined with parchment paper, too. When I make this again, I will only leave it in the oven for 30 minutes. Thanks for a great recipe!

Ocean Spray® Oatmeal Cranberry White Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
Made these to go along with the pumpkin pie and apple pie for Thanksgiving dessert. Everyone loved them. The cookies baked up puffy and had a cake-like consistency. The craisins and white chocolate are a good combination. Thanks for a great recipe!

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
This is such an easy, quick, and delicious recipe! My family and I will never eat cranberry sauce from a can again. This sauce had just the right amount of sweetness and thickened nicely. Thanks for a great recipe!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2010
This pumpkin bread is delicious! It rose nicely and was incredibly moist. The only change I made to the recipe was I cut back on the sugar. I added only two cups and I used dark brown sugar. As for the spices, I added pumpkin pie spice and also added extra cinnamon and ginger. The bread smelled awesome as it baked. Pan size was 8x4 in. and took 65 minutes to bake at 350 degrees. Everyone loved it. Thanks for a great recipe!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2010
I made these with a couple of minor changes. I used one cup of margarine, as I had no shortening or butter, and one and a half teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice, instead of ground cloves and cinnamon. These cookies came out awesome! Baked for 10 minutes they came out soft and moist; at 12 minutes they came out with a nice crunch to them.

Carnation® Quiche Lorraine

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
This was so easy to make! I followed the recipe and made only one small change. I didn't have any bacon, so I substituted chopped honey ham for the bacon. The quiche came out fantastic.

Felix K.'s 'Don't even try to say these aren't the best you've ever eaten, because they are' Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2010
These cookies were awesome! I followed the recipe with a couple of minor changes. I was a tad short on chocolate chips so I added some raisins along with them. I measured the dough out by large teaspoonfuls and rolled it into balls which I set on the baking sheet. I baked the cookies at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. They baked up golden on the outside and chewy on the inside. Perfect! Thanks for a great recipe.

Lemon Cake with Lemon Filling and Lemon Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
This is a good basic yellow cake recipe. I had to add an extra 1/2 cup of flour, though, because the batter was very runny. The only other changes I made was to add 2 teaspoons of vanilla and 4 tablespoons of margarine and 4 tablespoons of oil. The cake came out a little dense but it still tasted yummy.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
Wow!!! I made this cake for my birthday and we all loved it. It's very moist with an intense rich chocolate taste. This cake is so good, you don't even need to put icing on it. Yummy and decadent. I followed the recipe exactly, with no changes, and it came out perfect. Thanks for an awesome recipe!

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2010
Wow! I made this last night and it was a huge success. Absolutely delicious! I kept to the recipe changing only a couple of minor things. I added fresh green chilies, and used chicken thighs. I left out the taco seasoning and spiced it up with increased amounts of cumin, chili powder, and a bit of salt. This meal is definitely a new family favorite! Thanks for a great recipe.

Lemon Pie Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
Made these last night and they were super yummy! Followed the recipe as written except for three tiny changes: I used regular sugar, not powdered, and margarine, not butter, in the crust, and I didn't add the lemon zest. Everybody really loved these.

Toll House® Blonde Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2010
These came out good but not what I expected. They had a butterscotch flavor which was yummy, but instead of being chewy like a brownie, they were more like a cake. I didn't put the chocolate chips in as I had none. But I think that butterscotch chips might be better. Next time I will buy those and add them. Maybe if I had used 2 eggs and less baking powder these blondies would have come out chewy and not baked up so high.

Mama D's Italian Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
Used this recipe to make pizza bread. Halved recipe and divided dough into 2 parts. Then rolled it out into rectangles and stuffed each with 1/4lb. pepperoni & 1/2lb. mozzarella cheese, rolled them up & pinched the dough closed. Scored top & baked at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Had pasta sauce on the side for dipping. Made 2-4 servings. Delicious!

Very dense, moist, and delicious! The only change I made, as suggested by some of the other folks, was to increase the spices. Great recipe!

Aunt Anne's Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2010
This cake was delicious! I made only a couple of minor changes. I substituted Smart Balance for the butter, and doubled the recipe. I read what some of the others folks said about the topping sinking into the cake, so I added about 3/4 cup of uncooked oats into the topping mixture. This kept the topping on top and also gave the crumbs a great texture. Thank you for a wonderful coffee cake recipe!
