Churros

Closest to the real thing. I lived in Mexico for about 22 years and this is by far the one recipe with the most similarities to the churros from the corner "puestos". A serious treat!

This recipe is so simple and easy, yet delicious. I enjoy making this everytime, eventhough I am always nervous about cooking pork. I cut down on the Parmesan, as I do not think is that necessary and is my own way to cut down on cost.

Curtido (El Salvadoran Cabbage Salad)

It was super easy to make and delicious. I opted to add some tomato sauce for a bit of color, as I am use to have curtido with a bit of tomato here in Los Angeles.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

They were excellent muffins (and very easy-quick to make) I only changed one thing. I made half the crumb topping and used brown sugar (only for the crumble) instead of regular white sugar. Also, I advice you to place the muffin tray on top of a cookie sheet, the sugar topping oozed out and now I have an oven to clean, not a major issue but preventable. Overall a good recipe, I see myself changing the fruits every once in a while and perhaps adding nuts for extra crunch... when I have the time to experiment.

Sarah's Banana Bread Muffins

loved it. so good, moist and tasty. i added some vanilla extract and used Brazilian nuts because i didn't have walnuts. phenomenal, and a definitely keeper. i love that it calls for oil instead of the tedious softened butter and mixer.
