My youngest and me
About this Cook
I'm married with two young daughters. Growing up it was all bland meat and potatoes with extra sugar added, so I've been enjoying getting into spices albeit slowly. My mom loved to bake and I loved that time with her, so I love to bake as well. I am a big fan of Weight Watchers and follow the guidelines of the program, even though I'm no longer an active member. I also love yoga, specifically Vinyasa Flow.

My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up it was decorating x-mas cookies with my mom. Now its making scrambled eggs with my 3 year old, since I'm amazed that she crack and mix the eggs herself.
My cooking triumphs
Making a delightful Thanksgiving feast for my husband and girls. The turkey breast was moist and delicious. It was wonderful.
My cooking tragedies
I bought a generic brand of corn starch and baking soda and the boxes looked very similar. Instead of adding corn starch to my chop suey I added baking soda and could figure out why it would thicken up. That first bite came out of my mouth faster than it went in...I'm still shocked my husband was able to swallow his first bite down. It was so nasty.

Japanese Cheesecake
Delicious, but more like a pound cake, hence the lower rating. Everyone in my family loved it though.
