Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2011
My hubby absolute loves this recipe. It made fluffy, soft cookies. I personally do not prefer the vanilla pudding flavor.

Easy and Delicious Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2006
This turned out pretty good. I was unsure after reading the reviews. I forgot to drain the liquid before shredding, but am glad I didn't. I only had italian seasoned chicken broth, so I added that and didn't bother with basil and thyme. It tasted great. We had it on egg noodles which really made it seem like tuna casserole. Next time I will serve it with rice. I plan on trying the leftovers on a tortilla with salsa. My hubby is eating his on saltine crackers. Good stuff.

Mom's Chicken Cacciatore

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2006
I really enjoyed this recipe. I added a lot of garlic seasoning to the flour before frying the chicken. I used leg quarters (it's what I had on hand). After making the sauce, it tasted bland so I added a lot of seasoned salt, fresh pepper, and garlic seasoning. It turned out really good. I recommend tasting it before taking it to the table and adding as much seasoning as you would like or, as other reviewers commented, it may turn out to be too bland for your liking. I will definitely make this again!

Hearty Turkey Stew with Vegetables

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2006
This is a great base recipe. It was a little bland for my taste so I added my favorite seasonings (garlic seasoning, seasoned salt, more pepper, etc.). I used leftover dark meat and added mushrooms. There was not enough liquid to cover everything so I threw in a beer and a little water. The stew turned out fantastic. This is a great way to use up that leftover turkey. Mmmmmmmm.

Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2006
This recipe had a wonderful flavor. It was not as spicy as I was expecting and since my hubby and I love spices and bold flavors, next time I will add more chili powder and probably add cayenne to give it more of a kick. The sauce is excellent but there is just not enough of it to serve over pasta. Next time I will double the sauce recipe because it just tastes so great!

Elaine's Sweet and Tangy Loose Beef BBQ

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
My husband and I loved this! Ours turned out really well. I cut the recipe down for a 4 lb roast. The meat had to cook for 7-8 hours on low before it could be shredded. I was concerned about it coming out tasting really ketchupy so I added some more worchestershire sauce and vinegar and threw in about 1/3 cup of bbq sauce. After cooking for 3 more hours, the flavors had combined beautifully, I am not sure if the bbq sauce was needed. It tasted great. We will definitely be making this again!

No Bake Cookies III

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2005
My cookies did not set properly, but were still good. I added some small marshmallows to half the recipe right at the end. They tasted great!

Turkey Pot Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2005
This serves as a really good base recipe. I used pillsbury premade pie crusts to save on time. I used fresh sage and rosemary leftover from Turkey Day. I added mushrooms to the veggies and lots of garlic seasoning (we like lots of flavor and others said this recipe was bland). I didn't have bouillon so I used canned stock and leftover gravy. It turned out great! A little dry for my liking but my picky husband said it was perfect. I had gravy on the side.

French Silk Chocolate Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2005
My pie was good but not perfect. I was expecting a more fluffy pie but it turned out a little gooey and didn't set all the way. The pie was very, very sweet. I was worried about it being gritty but the sugar really smoothed out after the last egg was added with the last five minutes of beating. I put the pie in the freezer and it is good frozen.

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2005
This casserole had a really great taste. I should've known by the recipe title, but I was expecting more of a bread-like dish. It was very creamy (mushy, but in a good way) dish and turned out great.

Candied Yams

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2005
This recipe is perfect if you want a quick and extremely easy candied yams casserole. I made a large thanksgiving dinner and with a new baby did not have time to make my usual homemade sweet potato casserole. Turned out great!

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2005
This turned out really good. The consistency was perfect. I used fresh pumpkin and added a little more than the recipe called for to get more of a pumpkiny flavor. This cheesecake is not overly sweet so if you like really sweet desserts, add more sugar.

Angel's Old Fashioned Beef Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2005
I had never made beef stew before and this was a great base recipe to use. I combine ideas from different recipes and user reviews. I used a lot more seasoning when browning the beef. I used chopped onions that I had on-hand and more veggies than called for, including mushrooms. I quartered the potatoes and they thickened the stew enough, I didn't have to add the additional flour. Good thing too because it is much thicker the next day! I didn't have canned broth so I used boullion cubes with water and a beer. I added enough to cover everything. It turned out great and my husband (who is very big on spices) loved it! We will definitely make this again!
